It hurt, went out way to fast (8 minute miles for the first 3), I only fell once, my buddy only beat me by 30 minutes but dammit I kept up for 7.5 miles HA. I kid it was a fun little race and my first since running Javelina in ‘16. Don’t know where I finished don’t care I was shooting for 2:30 but after falling and taking a bit of time to regroup I changed to trying to get in under 2:40 which I did barely (2:38). I realized I’ve run more miles in this regional then anywhere else besides my home trails in ABQ. They are fun and landscape isn’t tough on the eyes either.
