Thanks for the good advise
QOTD: Two hearted Ale
flashlight and sidewalk
Well I had just planned on lurking since I haven't been running, but since it is lurker call out day I feel obliged to post. I'm going to get some miles in this weekend...its been a while. Anyways, I'm alive and well and wish everyone the best.
QOTD: kinda off topic, but has anyone tried "Not Your Father's Root Beer"? Grab some if you see it...delicious (and alcoholic).
ETA: who the F is Mr. Jamie?
**Ask me about streaking**
Tim
He's finishing his PhD, so he feels all grown up now.
Good hearing from you. Did you get married yet?
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
Are we there, yet?
Quick, for me, 5.4 miles. Haven't been on any real trails in ages so I've been lurking more than not.
QOTD: Based on AT's post, last craft beer consumed. If you don't partake, well too bad.
Oh well, too bad for me. I rarely drink beer, much less craft beer. Enlighten me why it's better than wine.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
Enlighten me why it's better than wine.
How Beer Gave Us Civilization. It's in the NY Times, so it must be true.
But the psalmist said wine gladdens the heart. (Psalm 104:15)
Benjamin Franklin — "In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is Freedom, in water there is bacteria."
Faster Than Your Couch!
Been a crazy day, but I got 9 miles in between work, DS's rock "concert" (the recital after the week of rock camp), and catching up on chores around the house. Despite excellent running weather, it was a not-so-good run. I'm fighting to keep another stomach bug at bay, and I think this was what made me so naseous, hot, and slow. But, I felt better afterwards, not physically, but emotionally. Now I hope a good night's sleep will fix the physical side of things!
Zilla: Glad to see you back again!
T&C: Short is just as good, as trails are trails. Papa in Philly? Now that's going to be a spectacle.
Mandy: Thinking of "Turbo"...
AT: I like that quote!
QOTD: It's been so long, I don't even remember.
Run for fun.
some call me Tim
WC and AT, you guys ought to take that show on the road!
James, there is some on the way to the house as I type this... it's been next to impossible to find, even though a running bud manages one of the local beer stores. You walk into a place and it goes like this:
"Do you have the root-"
"NO."

Looking for lurkers? Here I am! Live south of San Francisco. Running the Santa Rosa Marathon on Sunday, a road race. Have done a few HMs, 20 milers, a marathon and a 50k this year. Thinking of signing up for this new 50k on Mt. Tam (Mill Valley, CA) in October, Eldrith Gosney's Pure Ultra. https://ultrasignup.com/register.aspx?did=33978 I have a love/hate relationship with the Dipsea steps so it seems like I should.
QOTD: Ballast Point Sculpin IPA earlier tonight.
5/11/24 Grizzly Peak Marathon, Berkeley, CA
7/20/24 Tahoe Rim Trail 56 miler, NV
9/21/24 Mountain Lakes 100, OR
Did 20 this morning, another b2b on-tap for this weekend. On-tap.... get it ????
Gator: I agree with what LB2 and Blarg have already said. Sound advice.
qotd: I had something from a local brewery the last time I was in England (a few months ago). It was really good, but I would have preferred it colder. I have no recollection what the name of the stuff was.... . Believe it or not, there is a micro brewery near here, but I haven't found the time to check it out yet, I really don't drink much, but I have been drinking the local Korean draft swill, nothing to write home about.
tbd.
AT - yes on the getting married!
PS...I looked into the "Not Your Father's Root Beer" stuff and I no longer think it would fit the "craft" category.
