Born To Run is good, it's been a while since I read it. I have to admit as a "maximalist" I skimmed over the barefoot junk. But I do subscribe to the "run your own run" philosophy so to each their own I guess.
I also just finished North, also a good read.

You got that at the library?
It was in the library of the college I work at. I'd heard a lot about it but it's not streaming anywhere and I didn't want to pay $30 for it from their sketchy-looking website, so was pleased to find it at the library. Enjoyed it.
Started into Born To Run and it is quite compelling. Different than what I'd thought it was. And better than his 2nd book where the guys in Crete are the magical noble savages who have maintained the lost athletic secrets of parkour and eating keto.
Finished the book. It was a really good read. Some of the "humans are the best runners" stuff is laughable nonsense, but it's a fun story.
