I retired from my game warden job, but too young (read not quite wealthy enough ) to fully retire- 62 I can start to collect SS and will be golden!

My FIL worked for the USPS and his Dad convinced him to quit and come work at the mattress store he own so he could take it over. Well as soon as Gramps let Dad take it over he quickly ran it into ground. No business sense. Spent the next 20 years working for someone else's mattress store. He's poor and we had to buy his house and let him live there for free. Ef only he had stayed a postman he would have been set! and we wouldn't have that dam house to take care of.
19 years, 5 months ago I could have a had a county firefighter job that I could have retired from with full benefits after 20 years. I thought the drive was too far. Now I'm certain that I was a moron for not taking it .
