Faster Than Your Couch!
6+ on twisty, rocky trails up and along the mountain, and I did not faceplant myself. Yay me!
It's a nice run, but the valley ist just so very cold, never warms up. Ice patches and frozen puddles all along until the trail reaches the ridge, even though temps were in the upper 30's, lower 40's along the ridge.
Saw a cat going for a hike with its owner, in the middle of the woods. No leash, just a collar with a little bell. The owner said the cat follows him like a dog.
XT: Meet at MMT100? Keystone might be there, too.
Run for fun.

No morning run...had to be to work early for a meeting. but did gym at lunch and MAAYYY run after work. We will see I usually fail after work and my dogs will not allow me on the TM without a lot of barking and general pissed offness.
I started a no/low carb diet today and was munching on nasty croissant like thing by 8:30 AM wasn't even good.
QOTD: My morning trail is half a mile up the road. It is a boot leg trail on private property with a powerline running through it. After two miles of this I am deposited into a State Park with many trails. There are a lot of "real" trails in our community so you can drive 5 miles or more to take you to a multitude of trails.

Running is dumb.

She's not. Really.
He's right.... but I did think about it but knew I would fail.
Thanks everyone.... have I mentioned lately that I hate lotteries. XT, I feel your pain.
I plan to do a few miles after work today.
A friend sent me this video link today. Great stuff, I think it works for all trailers;

qotd: back in TX it took me a pretty good drive to get to any real dirt trails, I did have miles and miles of paved hike/bike paths just out the door though. Over here in Korea I run about 1/2 mile on a sidewalk and then I'm on miles and miles of single track. I have a choice of where I wanted to do my overseas jaunt and I picked Korea because of the trails (that plus I didn't want to deal with China's air pollution).
tbd.
Are we there, yet?
Back to Mt Joy for more hills. This time over and back twice which also includes a little dip down and back up in the middle. Did stop to have a short chat with a park ranger on the trail on my way back the second time. About 7 miles total and maybe as much as 1600 ft gain and loss.

Is that Jeff's new 100 miler?
Yes. I figured out the loops for a total of 99.4 miles. There are no sections on it that you get tired of looking at. Well, I haven't run them 5 consecutive times, but it is all single track and really nice. It is quite a bit hillier than people will expect if they haven't been there before.

Fun stuff - and a (large) grain of truth in it!
