- my fabric softener says "ultra-soft"
- my deodorant is "ultraclear"
- my suntan lotion is "ultra-sweatproof"
- my shirt is "ultra-wicking"
- my superglue is "ultra strong"
- my mascara is "ultra-lasting", and so is my cats' kitty litter
- my lipstick is "ultra moisturizing", and so are my hair conditioner and my shower gel
- my sunglasses look "ultra cool"
- my all-purpose cleaner makes everything "ultra clean"
And I found all of these in just one day around my house.
Ultra running is just so easy!

When we were down in Sacramento for the American River 50 we stopped by Target to pick up some Dawn soap to wash off the poison oak after the race. There was a store brand for half the price, but my friend pointed out something important: it wasn't just Dawn, it was "Dawn Ultra!" We obviously sprang for the expense

This is sad, "butt" true. When I pick up litter on the trail, it's usually some jerk's Ultralight Cigarette Butts.
This gives me the inspiration to interpret some terms completely new:
ultralight: a headlight for ultra runners
ultra bar: energy bar for the long run
ultra clear: gear ready to go, drop bags ready
ultra hold: considering a DNF

My shoulder is sore just looking at those cartridges. Guess that means I'm a wimp . I love my 7mm-08. Works well for what I use it for and has low recoil. On the other hand my .41 mag will make rip the hand off a smaller person.
I'm sure it's about nutrition needs and fueling strategies for ultra runners!
And just in case this does not cut it, I found out watching a TV ad last night that Charmin' is "ultra strong".
