Got my long run of the week in today - 16 miles. I use a training schedule from Bryon Powell's "Relentless Forward Progress".
The Indiana Trail 100 is in late April.
I used to use gels on anything over five miles, but now I use nothing unless it is at least 15 miles.
And even then, not too much.

5 on the indoor track today after taking a weeklong break trying to improve an achilles situation. The run was fine but plenty of creaking afterward. I might as well have kept running. Time to live day by day.

oh and (qotd) I usually take something with me if I'm gonna be out for 2 hours or more... sometimes less than that, but in those cases I'm usually experiementing
