QOTD: How much attention do you pay to things like turnover rate?

I don't pay a whole lot of attention to it, but I just finished a book and decided to go out and test things a little bit. I know that I tend to over stride on pavement, which has caused me some problems in years past. However, I worked very hard to shorten my stride, but I never measured my turnover rate or strides per minute. So, yesterday, I did some tests and hit 87 foot strikes (left foot) per minute. Multiplied by two I had 174 strides per minute, which is right in line with where it should be according to the book. I'm trying to be more mindful of form and technique.
