That’s funny, not so sure it would taste any good!! I think the thing fell out of a tree, it made a “thud” when it hit the deck. My DW freaked out. I got it to latch on to a stick and brought it over to a bush. We had no idea what the heck it was but it looked cool. Then it started changing.
The first 4 photos were taken at about 5 minute intervals. So cool. Then the last photo was taken 2 hours later. A Luna moth. I didn’t see it fly away, it was just gone after a while.

Faster Than Your Couch!
Sandy, just saw your pictures and wanted to say it was a Luna Moth, but you found out before. My dad bred them many years ago and I saw them hatch many times. Always exciting to watch them pump up their wings, hoping they will fully spread out. It does not always happen as intended, but I’m glad to see “your” moth succeeded.
Glad also to see that I’m not the only one who got slammed by the heat today!
