Looking for a 48-hr race in PA/MD/VA/NJ (Read 28 times)

Faster Than Your Couch!

I have decided to challenge myself and try a 48-hour race. Preferably a trail race, with some hills, not all flat.

Timeline: November 2014 or later, preferably April-June 2015.

    Any recommendations?

    Run for fun.

Three Days at the Fair, which does have a 48 hour option.

Take Charge. Train Harder. Suck Less. No Excuses.

Gold Rush - Nov 20-23 in Texas fits your time but not state.

3 Days at the Fair - Always hear good things about this one.  Fits location and is early Spring 2015.

Pickled Feet - March 2015, but travel to Idaho.

Across the Years - A longer travel, Kelly is the only one I know who's done this.

        “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!

Why not just hop on the Mid State Trail and run out about 20 hours and then turn around.  Or you could look at http://www.fastforwardracingproductions.com/p/tuscarora-ultra-24-hour-trail-run.html (that is if they are doing it again) - it's only 24 hours but by the distance you could probably run there from your home, run the 24 hours and then run home.

Sorry, I know I am not a help.
