Somewhere in South Park. Shane and I just kind of took off from the paved path and ran wherever looked fun.
Pictures from the Florida trail, Cross Florida Greenway. This is a corridor that runs east/west across the state just south of Ocala. At one point it was going to be a barge canal until common sense kicked in. Photos are from various locations between the Ross Prarie Trailhead (SR 200) and the 49th avenue crossing. I did not make it over to the I-75 land bridge this year.

I am not a FL local, just visiting the folks, taking the opportunity to enjoy some shirt sleeve even shirtless running in the woods during the winter.
This section is pretty flat but there are a few "grades". Now there is another section of the Florida Trail I've run called the Citrus Tract. I used to laugh at the pine laden sandhills... until one day I went out there and did a 20 miler on them. Those little 100 foot hills covered in slippery pine needles repeated over and over caused a most excellent mini-bonk.

This is a little part of the trail out my back door. It's a little tunnel through Manzanita.
I leave my house and go 500 feet up to see this. That's 550 feet in about 1.6 mils.
