After years of living where I do, and talking about it since I got here, I finally did it.
I got drawn for a permit to hike the Left Fork of North Creek in Zion National Park, aka., The Subway.
Great pics are here http://www.citrusmilo.com/zionguide/subwaypix.cfm
I am super excited. Now to decide if we should go top down and rappel the falls, or go bottom up to the falls and back.

"Swimming section." That's a new one for a hike! The pictures are gorgeous though! I'm jealous.

Very cool. Did you ever get a "127 Hours" vibe?
You people have issues
Haven't done it yet. They issue permits 3 months in advance, we got drawn for the first part of October (out of over 1200 applicants for the particular day we got. They let in 70 people a day.)

That's really beautiful. Congrats on the lottery win. Nice score.
Do you get to experience more if you go top down with the rappel? If so, I'd pick that one.
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
