New speed record for climbing the Matterhorn (Read 17 times)

Faster Than Your Couch!

The Swiss mountaineer Dani Arnold set a new speed record for ascending the Matterhorn: 1 hour and 45 minutes, via the north face of the mountain.

You might remember Kilian Jornet climbing the Matterhorn and setting a record, which was 1 hour and 56 minutes, but I think he used the Lion Ridge route, which is different from the north face ascent.

Either way, here are some spectacular pictures: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA7HHvAjHOI

    Run for fun.

Pretty amazing going climbing at that speed.  Kilian, ran up and down the Lion Ridge.

        “Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
