You'll ruin your knees!
""...the truth that someday, you will go for your last run. But not today—today you got to run." - Matt Crownover (after Western States)
When it’s all said and done, will you have said more than you’ve done?
Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head." - Joe Henderson
Thanks, Lynn! That and reading the race reports from RockinMom and Mississippi. Sounds like fun. As an aside, I met a couple folks from NTTR at one of the recent Dallas Running Club races. A girl named Robbie (who is a former coworker of mine) and a red-headed woman. They both told me to get off the road and on the trails. I'm just looking into the whole trail running thing for now, I need to get a marathon or two out my system before I get bitten by the trail/ultra bug. Reading the race reports that you and others write are inspiring to say the least.
Thanks for your Welcome message, Lynn. Hope your run in Bighorn goes well. Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hey Landy, you planning on doing any volunteering at Western? You should definitely plan on visiting the High School at Auburn (finish line) to catch some of the action...first place will likely be at the finish before too late on Saturday evening...Sunday morning is also a good time to watch mid/back of the packers finish up... There is also a good place to watch runners come through at the Foresthill school, or no-hands bridge (very close to you). If you want to go a little further, Michigan Bluff is another good place to camp out and watch. Lynn B
I've got a fever...
On your deathbed, you won't wish that you'd spent more time at the office. But you will wish that you'd spent more time running. Because if you had, you wouldn't be on your deathbed.
