Self anointed title
On the plus side Purdey, that means minimal chance of getting in and having to run 145 bloody miles

Cider IS carb loading
As the longest race in the UK, I am tempted. With the race being along a canal.......my interest wanes.....
At least it would mean you could ditch the hill training aspect of your training
Although I/we ran the Grand Union in January this year I have to say I can see where Rob is coming from here. That last section along the Paddington Branch through Acton, Alperton Whorf and Ladbrook Grove was gruesome.
However, I am really looking forward to the Thames Trot as that will be at least rural.
Don't talk to me about Mountain Ultras, I am miserable still being that I have had to pull out of Brecon due to work commitments
Jerry A runners blog-updated daily
Out of interest, i see it says "supported or unsupported" on the GUCR site. Does that mean those doing unsupported carry all there
kit (food etc) or do the organisers allow certain amount of drop bags that are available at 30,60,90 miles etc? This is purely out of
interest not a pre race planning strategy as would assume unsupported is fooking hard, supported is still fooking hard obviously!!!!!
WOOO HOOOO my 2011 pre-entry notes email has just arrived
are you serious about doing this then?
flat and boring vs the 103 miles of the 20,000ft SDW, no trolleys, no grafitti, no miscreants, mendicants and ne-er do wells.
My journey from Birmingham to London started when I was born and I have no intention of going back!
You have to be in it to win it as they say.
I was dragged brought up to grab every opportunity that arises as you will only live to regret the moment that was missed. Even though I am a bit of a depressive at times I always reach for the Moon because if I miss I may catch a star
145 miles vs the 103 miles of the SDW
Ditto
Ok then, i am going to enter the JOGLE (ha ha)
As tough as SDW will be, i appreciate where Jerry is coming from. SDW seems the more achieveable (although possibly the more scenic
depending on your preference), and Jerry wan'ts to push himself as far as he can. You never know, he might just bloody do it.
Or of course it could just be that Jerry is insane ............
