Shock, horror, I have actually entered a road (ish) marathon. This will be an official attempt at a PB so fully expect
the wheels to come off during the race having gone out too fast (haha), Thankfully 1st half is undulating which shuold
curb my enthusiasm, and the 2nd half is pretty much flat. Apparently this race is also the Kent Championshiop as well,
I am obviously unable to enter for that, but Jezza might be able to.
Only £19 to enter, and compared to the £47.50 for the Bacchus Marathon, was an easy choice, and fitted my small
desire to go for a sub 3:15 marathon at some stage this year. Easy week this week and then a good solid 50 or so
miles next week and a mini taper race week should see me ok.
Would love to have some company if it fits in with your schedules.

That may be an option but have had a massive tax bill that I have to pay off so putting my head down until I get some more lecturing contracts under my belt what with Mrs S's Running RADAR on full sweep at the moment I am aiming just for Surrey Tops at the moment.
I have managed 27 miles up to Thursday this week and will be doing a 20-24 miles tomorrow and 10 on Sunday and aiming for about 60 miles this week. I hate back to back weekends especially when I have no run partner on the long ones

Hot off the press, there is a free entry to the Kent Coastal......first come first served and I got my name in 4 minutes after the email was sent let's hope I get the golden ticket and I will join you, not you speed but if I get it I will run my socks off and try and get a PB of my own (sub 3.44)
Excellent, fingers crossed. With the amount of miles you have run this year Jezza, I would think you have a very good chance of lowering your current PB. We just need to hope we wake up on race day
and it feels like it's going to be a good day.

I have got through and got a free place WHOOOPPPPEEEE, it fits perfectly into my 5 week training plan for the Surrey Tops as I am supposed to do a 16/10 back to back that weekend so may as well just do that as my taper :-)
