The Barefoot Runners Society (BRS) is proud to announce the 2nd annual International Barefoot Running Day™ (IBRD™) on 6 May 2012. ..... After our smashing success last year, we hope to double the turnout this year. IBRD is a grassroots, inclusive effort to promote barefoot running as a healthy and viable way to run. It’s also about having fun and delighting in the idea of running barefoot with thousands of people worldwide on the same day. <http:> [http://www.thebarefootrunners.org/ibrd/ibrdposter_lg.jpg]</http:>

    not bad for mile 25

Well, I wasn't man enough to run my marathon BF.  I did use my Vibrams, though.

      Half Fanatic #846

I ran BF the 5th, then saw the IBRD post later, so I sandwiched an "IBRDRD" (...rest day) between two seven milers BF - hope that's OK!

Actually, I'm sorry I missed it - Could've done some running with a bunch of barefooters near the beach if I had paid more atttention!

"I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, it's usually my ankle" - unk.         "Frankly autocorrect, I'm getting a bit tired of your shirt".                  I ran half my last race on my left foot!

        Petco Run/Walk/Wag 5k

We had a local BF event on Sat 5/5. I got a couple of miles in with the group. Most did more than I because I am very slow these days (slower than ever). We would have had a larger group but multiple race events in the area used up all the parking which reduced our turnout.

Since I felt bad about missing this last year (due to recovering from a tough race) and even though I ran relatively long on Saturday, I recorded an easy 2.9 miles on IBRD.
