When is your "official" training for the Chicago Marathon going to start?

Goals for 2015:
Run 3 marathons (modified: Run 2 marathons--Lost Dutchman 02/2015 and Whiskey Row 05/2015)
Run a 50-miler (Ran a 53.8 mile race 11/14/2015)
Run 1,500 miles (uhhh...how about 1,400?)
Stay healthy
I tend to use 18 week training plans, but I add an extra week to give flexibility for injury, vacations, etc. My weekly scheduled run Mon-Sun, so my "official" start date will be Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day).

As Berner stated, most people use a 18 week ramp-up with any extra weeks being base mileage.

Yeah...I was planning on using an 18-week plan...I think that means I'm supposed to start June 6th....
I do know some people who use 20-week plans, and I've seen some crazy 22-week plans that basically repeat weeks in an 18-week plan.
My base-building has been really inconsistent this time around....Luckily I'm planning on running this one with some friends "for fun".

With the way the weather has been [hot] four of the last five years, "run for fun" might be your best bet.
