I ran a 4 mile train race Saturday morning.  I wanted to hold a 6:30 pace.  I don't wear a watch, and managed to do this perfectly!  I was also fortunate enough to win this event.  A nice $50 + a purple daisy to plant!  Neat prize!

Sunday, today, I ran the Marine Corps Historic Half marathon.  I wanted to come in between 1:30 and 1:40.  With out a watch, I once again perfectly paced this course coming in at 1:35!  I love to feel out a course, my pace and breathing, and come in right where I want to be.

This goes to show that distance runners should be math teachers.  We process more equations on the run than we realize!!  

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. The will walk and not grow faint.
