Running semi-technical trails at 9:06 pace seems pretty good to me.  I can barely manage 10 minute pace on the powerlines trail.

Right- many of my power line runs were in the 9 min range. My yearly average pace from last year is hard to compare to this year due that.

So Ahd fell down in the mud?  If so, it's nice to know i'm not alone.

yep, "Ahd" and the mud shared an intimate moment.  Falling is a pretty common thing for me - another great thing about trail running...other runners actually seem to care if you're OK when you get back up...on the road, forget it...too busy laughing

I'm glad you got that support.  This has not been my experience.  My "friends" laugh at me and stomp on me on the way by.

maybe it's a little more coherent now...then again, maybe not.

                        Home Away From Home

So I have come to a conclusion. This tri training has killed my running. I use to suck at biking and swimming and be ok at running, now I am pretty good at swimming and biking and now suck at running. Why can't I be ok at all three at once?

Ayuh.. gives me heat stroke... Yup, July 6 we begin. Get psyched.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely to the grave in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!

Why can't I be ok at all three at once?

u r. 3 months and you're gonna find that out. that last week u need to be really smaht and rested. you'll see. the full will be in your sights aftah that. and you'll kill that too. you are a fantastic runnah and from what i'm seein, a force on bike...fuck the swim...doesn't even mattah. and your even great at that too. so why the question?

My own sense of inadequacy, that is why.  Why are you up at 12:30AM?
