      Jan 2 WCRC long run 12                   check 13.8

      Jan 16 WCRC long run 14                 check 17.04

      Jan 23 Danvers 10km.                    missed  ran 13

      Jan 30 WCRC long run 16              check    17.83

      Feb 6  NBPT  5mi                           cancelled till March 6* ran 13.1

      Feb 13 WCRC long run 18           check  20.14

      Feb 20 Hampton Nh. 13.1           ran even 7 pace 1:31 good work

      Feb 27 WCRC long run 20         17.4 in Snow/wind storm slow footing 

      March 6 NBPT 5mi.*          6:30  tempo run ,32:34  felt great, plenty left..

       

      March 13 Lowell 5mi.? Portsmouth 5mi ? or WCRC training run 10.6  

        want to do 6:30 tempo again ? 

       Lowell 5mi :  6:45 ,13:05 pace adj. 19:16 ,  25:47 , 32:22 = 6:29 ave.

      felt better each mile.

       

      March 20 New Bedford 13.1 WCRC Team   ready

       

      1:29:35  not my best day."1st 4 mile in 28, then drop pace to 6:35

      . overall a minute slow probably..

       neroma left foot after 8mi , last 3.1 willed a 7 pace

      pushing off on right leg only

      better today ..

       

      1st day feeling better  after NB half 

      start training for  season [May 1st to Oct 30th] today, few short intervals 

       

      only 35 - 40 miles a week

      5km in 19:00  yesterday ..getting ready for season.. May -Oct.

       

      May 1st    10 km  Dedham  Ma. trying to helpout inj. and sick teamates,

      went all out effort 5:46 1st mile  paid in the hills after  40:04

       

      May 8th     6 km   Nashua  Nh. a Hilly 3.73 mi race,  23:30,  6:18 pace, getting better with the warmer temps. 

       

      May 15th   5 km.  NBPT cert. course   Cold and Rain, start fast  5:45 downhill ,  19:10,  6:09 pace .

       last mile uphill . good effort  ,getting stronger on less milage and faster pace work.

       

      June 5th    5 km  Lincoln  RI  rested all weekend,  ran terrible PW 19:55, big effort, bad day

       had nothing , got home Ran 6.1 miles  more for punishment   ,feel better.

      next weekend,  sex , drugs and rock and roll, no sleep and will race again.

       

        June 9th Won WCRC Fugowee run,3+ warmup,  raced last 7miles back to WC.

       

       June  11  5mi  WCRC " Boys training race"   Georgetown , took the lead pack thru1st mile 5:50

       Fugowee legs caught up, ran 31:43   6:21 cert. 5mi . with the WCRC usatfne team in training for Stowe .

       Matt V.   DD.  Pre. and  Heslam ,  WCRC top 6 of 7 places .

       

       June 18    5km  Byfield  Ma. 19:51  felt terrible ! ?? 

       

       June 25    10km  NBPT cert course .

       ran with Dennis and Matt V. the boys training race,

      we finished 2 3 4 . 

       38:39  6:14 pace

       best 10km in 6 years , felt great  !

       

        July 1st     5km.   Salisbury 5km [ new course all on trail ]

       2nd senior to "Pre"   19:17   6:14 pace

       right patella tender from slipping on  loose gravel

       ice and beer after , doctors orders !

       

       July   9th    5 km   Springvale  Me. 

       19:15  6:13 pace  good effort,  but felt harder than it should have .

       Had some left at the end !  note to self, 

       always kick before you see the finish line , wish I had started sooner.

       July  17th   8 mi.  Stowe   Vt.  WCRC usatfne seniors 

       3 H club  Hot , humid , hilly  54:35  3rd scorer

       

       Aug  2nd    10 mi.   NBPT Ma. 66:09  6:37 pace   good effort   splits 12:58 for 2,

       32:53 for 5 , 53:04 for 8,   last 2mi 13:05

       scored on WCRC usatfne  masters and Seniors teams which won $400.00 total .

       

       Aug 3rd NO running,  StoneTemple Pilots at Hampton beach casino.

       

      Aug 27th  Hamilton 5 mile ,  hilly and humid  32:34 good effort

       

       Sept 1        Atkinson  NH 5km.  18:56   6:07 pace , nice weather , good effort

       

       Sept 10th   Lake W. 5th leg 10.8 .  Hilly  6:56 pace  good workout

       WCRC seniors 2nd place

       

       Sept 25th Holy Grail 5km. 19:20   hilly / humid  good effort

       

      Oct 9th        Bobby Bell 5mile

        In for MWC, ehhh maybe for Derry (but I hear I'd better make up my mind soon). Other than that the only races I can say I'm 100% absolutely for sure gonna do are Boston, Bob's race, and the Pirate Tri. All others are up for debate though I'm sure I'll do a lot of the usual suspects. First one to consider is the Hampton Half, I spose. I did like that one.
