Was going to pm you but perhaps there is value in this out where it can be read...if not, it is good practice for me so all gain. This is what I see...whether I am completely correct or not doesn't matter. It's just what I see and only you know what is correct. I was not there...but I will use this situation to work on my own skills as this can be transferred.

Wanting others to comply with own desires...not receiving that...then resenting the whole thing for a choice to run hard with the knowledge that a collective competitive time is not likely...only to be left feeling slighted by being seen as a member of the teams that were running for fun.

What have you learned here? Maybe you have your answer already. You have tried to get a cn team together already which has not panned out so far but can continue to do that. And in the meantime...expand your chances for an opportunity to be placed with a competitive team of people by which you will have to pay with your commitment and time to put yourself out there to be with like-minded people. If you desire this enough, perhaps the opportunity will present itself but you will have to pay for that through doing something about it. All feeling slighted does is spread the feeling of feeling slighted to others so the resentment can grow stronger which won't help put you on a competitive team at all. lf you want to be a competitive runner...run with competitive people. It is the same as if you are treated like an Asshole...maybe you are one so if you want to be creative...be around artists and if you want to be a good speaker...practice on a bad listener.
