My salty dogs

Strange emotions for me this evening.  On one hand, I'm very happy to not be trying to run this race tomorrow.  On the other, it's weird seeing my friends all go off and do this thing that will be very difficult but also very memorable - sort of a loss of an opportunity for a shared experience.

Good luck tomorrow and stay safe, all.

+1 x8 -----   very tough   --- stay safe.  Reduce expectations and don't just drink water -- the gels and gator aid will help prevent over hydration.

Good grief it's beatiful outside.  It's like a siren call or something.  As they get off the bus in Hopkinton, it must be like "hey, this doesn't feel so bad - in fact it's really nice".  Too bad the race doesn't start for 2.5 hours.

Looks like it is 65 already in Boston, should be 75 before the gun and close to 85 by the finish.  The nice thing about Sugarloaf is it will start 3 hours earlier, that combined with the elevation and being further north will hopefully allow us to avoid this.

        What was I chasing again?

Hmm that doesn't format very well.

Michelle had a fast first 5K - looks like Jim may not be running?

                Jim's running - must've moved back.

Big dropoff for Michelle in 2nd 5K.  McCullough is steady at a pretty fast pace (3:09ish?) in sweats.

1:35 1/2 for GMac.  Michelle's still fading 9:00+ on last 5K after starting sub 8.

Full slog for Cuch.  Everyone else seems to be pretty steady paced, albeit slow of course.

Cuch picked up again,. must've taken a Gu or 12.  Cremer and McCullough fading though GMac may still be under 3:30.  Everyone else looks slowingt but steady.  A bit worried about Cremer.

Hmm.  I think Jim should have been through 35K by now.  TD is now projected to beat Michelle by 30 seconds.

Michelle 4:03:20.  The slogathon continues for everyone else with some 12+ minute miles.

Still, it doesn't appear anyone has dropped, and that will be a minor miracle.

Cuch just took a Gu and ran her fastest 5K in a long time - will possibly catch a slogging Cremer.
