Diabetic Runners

20 years of diabetes (Read 260 times)

I just recently had my 20-year anniversary with diabetes. Shocked I was bored at work that day so I wrote about being diagnosed just before my 10th birthday. I decided to post that story and several others about diabetes and running on a blog, since there is so little information out there and because some of the stories are old so several of my current friends have never heard them. If you'd like to take a look, I'm the Diabetic Runner and the posting about my diagnosis is called 20 Years. I'm not a very good writer (I was an engineering major!), so I hope it makes sense.

good read. thanks for sharing. I was diagnosed much later in life and the shock was tough enough for me can't imagine how hard it was for you at 10 yrs old.
