Run this every year with friends. Usually I jog it in about an hour, but after actually training this year I think I can actually race it. We have a friendly competition where we run it with our spouses/significant others and combine the couples times. Whichever couple wins (lowest combined time) gets all their drinks and food paid for when we go out afterwards.
an amazing likeness

Just a little race, but New Year's morning is a good time to get going on the running year. I've run this in -46*C windchill and in a blizzard so conditions could be anything winter brings.

Loves the outdoors
One day I decided I wanted to become a runner, so I did.
I enjoyed it so much, I'm going back for seconds! My daughter claims that in the minutes after the last one I gave her permission to whack me upside the head if I ever signed up for another. I have no recollection of this. I already signed up, so I'm watching my upside.

Petco Run/Walk/Wag 5k
ok, I finally feel ready and able to train for a half again, so I signed up and committed the $. I know I've been amongst the missing most of the year, but its been a bit crazy dealing with emergency delivery of my daughters twins, her side effects, then helping with the boys... we're finally worked things out to where I can get my morning runs in and think about the time on feet I need for a half. I'm also finally corrected what went wrong after last years Decker Challenge and are not having the calf problems I had for much of the year.
