I just got back from 5.53. My whole body is a little cranky from the hilly route I did yesterday, but the run this morning helped loosen things up a bit.

No running today, just cross fit. Trying to find a good shoe to do cross fit in, minimalist/weight lifting shoe.
Half: 1:48 (March 3rd, 2013)
Full: 4:05:40 (March 17th, 2013)
Sub-4:00 hour Marathon
Sub- 125 poundsSub- 1:45 hour half.
I got in 8 very slow miles last night. I didn't feel anything particular hurting from my race, but I was a bit sluggish. And I was still a little bit sick, although mostly better. Also, I was running without a shirt and got my first woot from a car of the year, which makes it my official first summer run! Too bad that had to come in April!
Julia - I hope you get your 9 in before it gets hot
Scott - Have fun resting if that's what you decide. I think the jump in temps hurt me last night too, although I was taking it really easy.
Hill - Weird how running helps recover from running
RVD - Thanks for putting down the rules. I haven't seen those before but they'll be helpful.
DR - Hope you got your 7 in. That's some crazy weather. I'm happy VA is moderate even though we I missed Spring.
Pressing - How did the MP run work out? Hope you feel better.
Jodi - As we say in my house, what a B word. Way to be patient. Ranting online is one of the nicer things you could do in that situation! Congrats that the race went off well. I saw the question a while ago but didn't have time to respond: My favorite races have been the hand-timed ones. They're low-key and more fun.
SIAR - I hope you're already feeling better. Resting is a good idea anyway.
Did 2wu+2(3m@1/2MPw1mr)+2cd = 12 miles after work yesterday in 85F & 55DP = 140 combined. I ain't ready for this yet. I also screwed up. In my befuddled mental state I was thinking that my pace for the 1/2MP intervals was supposed to be 10 seconds faster than it was and I also did them 8 seconds faster than that, so 18 seconds too fast. That came back to bite me in the second interval. Just gonna do an easy 6 after work today.
I did not have a minute of time to check the thread yesterday, and at the moment, have no time to check this evening's. Maybe this evening.
Worked OT (with no pay) yesterday and went to a friend's house for a night out. RD yesterday and today as my shins were starting to feel sore. Nothing at all today but don't want to take any chances. I think I just ran too hard earlier in the week.

Morning! The 7 went great. Strides were on pace even though there was a headwind during some, the miles felt easy (they were recovery miles, though, LOL) and I had no asthma issues. Last strides workout almost gave me an asthma attack.
Since I procrastinated the weights again, I have 6 and weights tonight.

Hey everybody. Sorry I've been such a bad forum friend lately. I'm just trying to keep my mind off running so I don't go nuts. I am going to run tonight with the group, just 5 miles. My knee is doing better - I think it's more knee than calf, maybe a little fluid in there. Ive been taking antiinflamatories, and since I don't ever take them they seem to be working. I feel like I'm totally self-sabotaging right now, but I don't know what to do really. I'm even annoying myself, so I hope ya'll aren't too sick of me.
Please post away. It will make me feel better when I put all my craziness out in front of you guys in a few weeks.
