Concern over keeping up my runs while on vacation (Read 48 times)

Jill_B

I fly.

I'm going skiing in 2 weeks and don't know if I'll be able to run (Snowmass, Colorado - anyone know good places to run there?). How do you all keep up your runs when you are traveling?

    Bring it on.

Are you staying somewhere that has a treadmill, perhaps?

      Roads were made for journeys...

Nothing special, I usually just take off from the hotel and run. But I usually look for a hotel with good treadmills, or a local gym if I know the weather will be a factor. Not sure about Snowmass, Colorado, but based on the name I would guess snow and ice are not uncommon. Wink If you are staying for a week or more, you might consider a local gym. Alot of places offer weekly rates. My wife just left for a trip today, and she has lined up a membership at a gym in the area. Just a thought...

I run on the hotel's treadmill and ask the person who checks me in for nearby walking/running trails. I love my Garmin, and the "navigate back to start" feature when I am on vacation. Good luck - I hope you have a great vacation.
