Currently in Vermont. I’m guessing running with snowshoes totally counts. What do you think? I’ll do a regular mile in trail shoes just in case.

Running is running - doesnt matter what shoes you wear or if you wear none at all.
I've done my mile in snow boots a couple times - they were super heavy but the traction was good. In those couple instances I think I would have preferred snowshoes and I'm pretty sure there are a couple races in maine that are snowshoe running races.
