Hi, Miles Gamers. As you may have noticed, there has been a drop off in the number of participants in the game. There is currently a discrepancy of 8 players between the team with the most members and the team with the least, as well as a varying number of players on the teams in between.
In order to level the playing field a bit, the scoring system has been changed. The game will now be scored by team average rather than overall miles. It will still be important for every team member to post, as even a few miles may help the team average, while a non-poster will bring the average down.
Since motivation to run and a fun, friendly competition are the goals of the game, it is the hope of the game administrators that this change will help to motivate members of all teams as they run their miles each week. Thank you for your participation in the game.
(New members are always welcome.)

As the captain of the team that's DFL, I say woo hoo!
LOL-RunMuppy, I'm glad you are pleased with the change. There hasn't been much feedback one way or the other, so it's good to hear.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.
