July 29th, 2017 Jug End Loop Ultra (Half MarathonTrail Run)
I did it! My first "More Miles Than Degrees" points for the season. Four miles at -8 degrees for 12 MMTD points. Yay. I left the pup and headphones at home (too cold for both) and I geared up well so I was not uncomfortable. It was SO quiet on the country roads and the sound of squeaky-crunchy snow was fun. I also got a kick out of the ice that formed on my mask, head and shoulders. It looked like snow but must have been from condensation. All in all, great run for the conditions.
