Covered 24 miles on 5 runs—it was a challenging week with the first truly cold and windy days of the season. Getting ready mentally to go outside was harder than I expected it would be.
Caffeine-fueled Runner
Ran 41.0 miles this past week. Ran a marathon as a "training run" as it was the inaugural running of this marathon and half marathon. Was the slowest one I've ever run and it was cold at the start (28°F). But it demonstrates the need to complete all the critical runs of a training plan.
PR's--- 5K 24:11, 10K 49:40, 10-Mile 1:26:02, HM 1:56:03, Marathon 4:16:17

41 miles this week, including a half marathon (well, 13.7 miles) as a training run.
Out there running since dinosaurs roamed the earth
30.7 miles this week in 4 runs including a 10K race PR.
Started running at age 60.
AG 60-64 PR - 5K 25:45, 10K 53:28, HM 1:57:39, Marathon 4:32:09
AG 65-69 PR - 5K 26:11, HM 2:02:39, Marathon 5:04:47
20.2 this past week
My " A goal" was 25, my "B goal" was to exceed last week and that's the .2.
Centex - Good luck with the half this weekend.
gsaum - Any completed marathon is a success. Congrats.
Quickadder - A 10K PR!! That's great.
30.7 miles for me last week in 5 runs. The longest was 11 miles on Sat in celebration of Vet day. First run in pants since last winter on Friday. More to come I'm sure.
Cwschind, thanks. Yes, a 63 second PR on my 63rd birthday and approximate AG score of 63.
Talking of coincidences, both you and I had the same 30.7 mileage this week and both gsaun & KSA had 41.0. If only Nas could have managed another 3.8 miles and matched Brooklyn's 24 ....
Cwschind - Thanks. It will be my first race since turning 65. Unfortunately there are a lot of fast over 65 year olds in my area. Last year this age group needed a sub 1:48:00 to place 3rd at this race plus this is not an easy course. My training has been going pretty good but at this point breaking 2 hours would be great to me after my last couple of years fighting injuries, etc.
This week I got in 40 miles - one 12 miler, four 6 milers and a 4 miler.
