Injuries (Read 9 times)

Looking back on my injury progression I can see that it didn't get to tangible injury level until after I ran on cambered roads for six days in a row. I've made a concerted effort to get back on the grass more and my hip is feeling better, but it's still not 100%. I expect I'll need to keep my hip limber for months to come before I'm no longer self-aware of this hip injury being my limiting factor. I call it my "hip," but it's really more of an IT tendon issue manifesting itself in the hip tendon/muscle/ligament.

I wasn't aware you were injured.  How bad is it?

It's IT band related, but occurring in my hip. Think of runner's knee, but in my hip instead. I need to keep very limber in order to run without exacerbating it. It helps that it is summer instead of winter. Hard to say when I'll truly be in the clear.
