Camille Herron (who broke the 100-mile World Record by over an hour last year) is taking a shot at 24-hour. The WR is Patrycja Bereznowska's 161.55 miles.
Camille was on pace for around 180 through 8 hours, but began having GI issues and had a rough couple of hours. She is out running again and still has a chance. FWIW even for her, 180 would not be a realistic total, in my opinion and that of everyone I know. But just breaking it... maybe, if she ran a smart race.

Thanks for links.
Correct me if im wrong but i think her trail record is the fastest trail 100 mi for both men or women and both a road and trail record for women? I wonder if she will go after the 100k road record.
edit: looks like shes dropped at 11 hrs, bummer
2020 goal: couch to 5K, currently working on the couch block

Formally there's no such thing as a "trail record", but yes, it is the fastest trail 100 by man or woman. (It's a bit generous to call Tunnel Hill a trail, as it's really almost flat dirt road, I believe.) It is the official overall World Record (regardless of surface) for women.
And yes. She had kidney/GI issues and had to stop.
Yes i guess it would be an FKT not a WR for the trail.
