Superior Trail 50 Mile - September 7th. I hear this is pretty damn technical/hlly(and actually 52 miles). I am mostly running this to prepare myself for the even greater hurt of 100 miles so should be interesting with minimal taper.
I am also on the wait list for Marquette trail 50 mile August 17th. Fingers crossed that I can get on that, but I'm number 14 on the wait list.

Been thinking about it for a few weeks, just pulled the trigger. Last year I won the 50K at this race. This year, it's only 50M (and, mostly, 50M relayers).
I don't expect to win the 50M, but it is a little frustrating that with all the relayers, and two start times, I'll have no idea of my position throughout the race.

Yes, but it will also be satisfying in a weird sort of way to still be passing relayers after running 40+ miles. Gotta look on the bright side.

Just found out I got into Marquette trail 50! Woohoo!
Blew up big time, worst cramps in years. I had 7:30ish in my mind at the start, around M25 I was thinking sub-7... by M40 I was thinking 9:30. I somehow pulled it together to just squeak in under 8, at 7:59.

Result: 4:53. Happy with the time -- some fast stuff, but lots of technical trail -- but not with placement (22OA, 6AG).
