Thanks. Just two tickets, so very lucky.
5/27/18 Sole Challenge 12 hour, goal: 50 miles

Are we there, yet?

That's a shame. I was going to volunteer some time, too.
2024 Races:
03/09 - Livingston Oval Ultra 6-Hour, 22.88 miles
05/11 - D3 50K 05/25 - What the Duck 12-Hour
06/17 - 6 Days in the Dome 12-Hour.
I wonder if it's really final final called off or if they'll bring it back if enough folks volunteer. It's looking like my trip wouldn't leave until the day after that, so it'd be perfect for me.
wc, you can put me down for the 9/28/18, The Bear, 100 mile.
(No luck in the HR lottery again this year so I need another qualifier.)
2/17/24 - Forgotten Florida 100 Mile, Christmas, FL
Tim
Ran it every year (and was a Sponsor). Did the 48hr last year. My wife and I are very sad.
“Paralysis-to-50k” training plan is underway!
Final call. I talked to Rick.
In a related note, I'm taking suggestions for a May long race. 3 Days at the Fair, etc.

I'd love to suggest D3 on May 12th, but all the races, 24-hour, 12-hour, and 50K are all full. If interested you could always get on the wait list. Dirty German 50K and 50M in Pennypack Park, Philadelphia, is also mid-May. usually same weekend as D3 - very nice runable trails.
This is the most complete listing I know of for fixed time races from the Running Against Time FB group:

If you can wait til the first weekend in June, I can vouch for FANS in Minneapolis. It's fun! I sucked last year but I'm going back for revenge.
I think 3 Days is a good replacement for Sole Challenge. The loop is flatter, exactly a mile, has more overnight options with buildings, electrical outlets, tent/RV allowed right on the loop. And a fully lighted course, so no headlamp needed. Probably less windy but equally unshaded. I am local to Sole Challenge and have volunteered there, but chose 3DATF last year for the earlier date (expecting lower temps) and the flatter course. Add in more participants and families/crew and fairground activities for mental stimulation/distraction/entertainment. If I try another 24 hour race, it will be there.
Maybe I'll do another marathon. The York Marathon is about the right time. Small marathon, like 80 runners and it's not even on marathonguide.com.
That more or less replaced the old Bob Potts Marathon and follows the same rails to trails path but with start and finish at the Y (I think) instead of York College.
Pain is my friend
I love the bear. I have never run it but paced for the last 4 years. If I don't get into Wasatch I will run bear.
