I'm on the fence for 2013.

Are you running the 70 mile or 50K?

I don't know. I may just crew/pace/volunteer since BR is my goal race for the year and wait until 2014 to run the race. I really want to do the whole 70.5 though.

Good call, imo. Over the years, I've seen others try using the 70-mile as a "training run" for BR100. More often than not, there's not enough recovery time post-Laurel to run BR well. The 50k (first 31 miles) of Laurel has the most challenging elevation change.

The 70-mile is my all-time favorite ultra. Over half the course is gorgeous fern-covered as far as the eye can see.

I ran the LH 50K in 2009.  I hope to run it again in 2013.

Where did you get the race date from?  I keep looking on the website so I can get the date and add to my work calendar to ensure I get some time off then.

I am anxiously waiting registration too!  I loved this course!

That 50K would be a good lasti-ish long training run tho Smile

I have to think about it. I think it might be more fun to volunteer and crew and then pace someone through the night portion or their run. I really want to get more night running experience before BR.
