Are we there, yet?
I can finally remove the trainee from my avatar description and change it to novice. I completed 49.6 miles officially in the 12-hour race at NC24 for my first ultra marathon. I've gleaned a lot of helpful info from the posts here and want to thank everyone for their contributions to my successful debut.

Congrats! Looking forward to reading your race report.
Uh oh... now what?
Congratulations on a good run--now the bad news. I am in my... hmm... got to take my socks off... 27th year of some sort of association with ultramarathons and have never got past novice. Hope your recovery goes well -- want a link to some schedules?
Run gently out there.

Nice job George, that's awesome, congratulations!
Way to go! Congratulations.
If anyone is interested in my race report it's here in the Beginners and Beyond user group.
Not sure why or how to change this, but when I click on the link it takes me to the last post, not the first which is the actual race report. Sorry about that.
Eat to run, Run to eat
Great job, and especially so since you toughed it out to complete the 50 after timing out.
It is also amazing that you had such support. Not unusual I guess, but still amazing.
