Furious Friday - Supermoms (Read 18 times)

Zorbs

beskirted & manicured

    ER - 1st client is away, so hot yoga.

    KR - went into the bathroom, he was sitting on the potty with his ipad and playing with his thing.  He had a huge boy boner and said to me, "big penis!" ugggggh.

    FR - spaghetti with white wine and clam sauce for me, frozen pizza for DH, since he thinks he's deathly allergic to shellfish.

    WR - yesterday my mood was just like, "let's meet with dickhead and get the whole thing over with as civilly as possible."  I called yesterday morning at 9 to talk to him and was told he was with a client. Called again an hour later and apparently "he's not in today." I had Amy call the gym to ask what time he would be in today so I could ambush him if necessary, but then he finally called me back around 4:15, right when I was in the middle of a piano lesson.  I stepped out to take his call, which I am NOT supposed to do and he said, "whatever you need to tell me can be done over the phone." Um, no.  I basically cut him off and demanded a meeting, he tried to make things as difficult as possible for me by saying he wasn't available at any time when I'm there this morning and I have to go back this evening.  DH wrote me a nasty letter outlining the facts of what he said and I intend on making things very uncomfortable for him at the meeting and I'm internally shaking with rage when I think about all he's said/done.  I want him to know that he absolutely fucked with the wrong person.  I presume HR hasn't talked to him yet.

      RR - Wanted to do my LR today, but I have a bunch of errands to run this morning and it's going to be rainy anyway, so I'll probably squeeze in 13k this morning, and do my LR on Sunday.

      TR - Asks for rice every day for breakfast now. Had I known this would happen, I wouldn't have gotten rid of my rice cooker.

      FR - Lasagna and salad

      NRR - Chill night tonight and then it's going to be a super busy weekend. Really need to find some time to go shopping, because we desperately need a new dining room table. In addition to being hideous, one of our chairs and one of our table legs just randomly broke this week. There is a guy near us who makes beautiful, handcrafted wood furniture and we really want to get one of his tables, but I am thinking we shouldn't get anything too nice yet, since S is constantly mucking up the table with stickers and markers.

      zorbs - Ha ha ha, boys and their penises. Good luck at your meeting! If he's acting like a total dick at the meeting, just think to yourself that he's giving you more material to report to HR.

        Morning

        RR - 28k this afternoon.  It's supposed to be +9 C!!!

        KR - 50% weight and 30% height at the dr... healthy and the dr was impressed with how smart she is, made me proud!  Then she was a total mess afterwards, she was tired from 3 straight mornings of being up before 6am.

        TR - still a peanut, 1% height, and 30% weight.  She played strange but did well.  Then on the way home she totally and completely melted down.  She had only napped 40 minutes at the dayhome, and basically screamed and cried for 30 minutes as we drove home.  I could see her car seat rocking and rolling as she fought it.  When we got home and I went to take her out, she was completely drenched in sweat - that's how hard she was fighting the car seat and how angry she was.  She continued to cry and had a very bad evening.  Hoping she's happier tonight when we have a 3 hr drive ahead of us!

        FR - kids will eat takeout in the car (and who's kidding who, I'll have run 28 km's, so will I, lol) and then the adults are having a late dinner after we get to the condo - my mom made spaghetti sauce and bread, Caesar salad... yum!

        ----

        zorbs - ugh that manager sounds like such a dick!!  LMAO at B playing with his thing... Makes me glad to not have boys, I don't want to deal with kids and boners.

        ernie - ack on the broken table... we bought a new one just a couple months ago, and I love how nice it looks, and it's not super fancy or expensive but still it's already scratched a bit from M, and is constantly covered with goobers from the kids.

          Zorbs-  lol, boys.  Good ill at your meeting.  I have such a hard time being cool in those situations.  I hope yoga was good, I miss hot yoga.

          ernie-  I hope you can squeeze in your run before the rain.  Did S get rice for breakfast and she wants it again?  I loved rice pudding when I was little.

          Rr- 8k, gotta go this morning before it rains.  It's blue skies and sun now but below freezing.

          Br- tries to share with the dogs.  They are not impressed. Lol.   Carries armfuls of toys or clothes to them and dumps it in front of them.  also chases them around the house to put on their collars.  I think they are conflicted, they know the collars mean we are goibg somewhere but don't really want to be near the tiny monster that has them.

          Nrr- unexpected morning with A. the day home is closed bc the little girl is sick and I couldn't find anyone to watch her to go to work.  It will be nice to get my run in before the rain, an maybe get some groceries.

          Dhr- has allergy testing this morning.  He is deathly allergic to shell fish and I always cross my fingeR's that he magically won't be so we can go to an oyster bar an I can cook with shellfish at home.

          Kantkatchme

            Ca- have a good weekend! I hope the girls are more rested today.  I hope they are good for the drive, enjoy your weekend in the mountains!

              RR- still may end up hitting 60 mi for the week, although 50 will be fine too. fine tuning now, trying to do more strengthening, only 2 weeks to go. Maybe Bob run later? Pool run yesterday with hill run.

              BR-  yup, 3-5 wake-ups at night all week. Sooo tired!  He is definitely on the verge of crawling! Has anyone used sign language w/baby?

              FR- Pizza? Salad.

              NRR- zombie   this week! Been reading the posts this week, but kept missing chance to post =)  Need new bathing suite. don't like shopping for one.. been wearing sports bra and shorts, but the chlorine is killing the fabric. Marathon taper paranoia setting in. not sure I like my marathon shoes... Working this  sunday. was asked to work marathon weekend too. I really want hours, bummer they all have to be on weekends so DH is home to watch K.  Yes, I think it is my turn to have drinks after Boston! I'm not talking getting blitzed. DH and I both ran Cal international marathon in Dec, he went out later w/ friends drinking and I stayed w/K back at the house since babies were not allowed in the bar.

              Zorbs- nice hot yoga. ahh.  oh boys... I'm sure we'll get to the penis situation in a few years. Uhg on your horrible work situation. Give it to him!! you are so strong!! and inspiring for not backing down.

              Erni- lol, isn't that how it works...get rid of something only to find use for it after the fact...

              CAR- Keagens apt is next month, he was 3% height /weight back in Jan, not sure where he's at now.  Did Dr. have any recommendations for growth?  Hope she has a better day today!

              Kant- Hope you get your run in. Brrrrrr! Good luck with the alergy testing, hope for the best. Funny about baby wanting to share with the dogs. how thoughtful!

                Kant - my kids love to share with the dogs too, but it's usually food, so they are cool with it Smile  They also like to try to attach a leash and walk them, again, they are happy for the attention.  Ooo that would be hard w/ a DH with shell fish allergies!!

                E_rain - she said that they were both growing perfectly and to not worry.  O's been following the same place on the curve since birth, she's always been in the 0-3% range, so that's why the dr is happy with it.  If you're guy is also following his own curve I wouldn't stress over it.  60 mpw 2 weeks out is amazing!  I'll be peaking at closer to 50 mpw.

                  ernie - I tried to have leftover fried rice for breakfast this morning and it was so bland that I was gagging..I ran out of Maggi while cooking it. Sometimes I think I need my Chinese card taken away because I have never owned a rice cooker!  I got my solid wood bed from Munro's back in 1989 and it's held up all these years - they are not far from you, 400 & Innisfil Beach Rd.

                  CA - as much as I wished I had a girl to buy cute clothes, I'm glad I don't have to deal with girl issues like body image and that sort of thing.

                  kant - is your DH actually allergic? mine only SAYS he is, he says he ate shrimp a couple times as a kid and puked both times (I suspect he just had bad shrimp both times by coincidence).  I have fed my DH oyster sauce, chinese dried scallops over the years and obviously he hasn't died or even gotten sick.

                  e_rain - sometimes my DH will remind me in a few short years I'll probably have to change B's crunchy sheets and find porn hidden under the mattress or something.  I like cheap ass bathing suits so that I'm not heartbroken when they get ruined by chlorine.

                    RR: Going to run a couple miles and lift today, R's godmother looked at the rainy Seattle forecast and decided to come home Smile

                    TR: Had a blast at my friend's house last night and was totally pooped.

                    FR: Went to the Burgers&Brews place, had a straightforward hamburger and it was really good. And lots of steak fries (its like a classier version of Red Robin).

                    NRR: With DH's suprise night off, I decided to stay home today so we could hang out until he leaves and I can get a good workout in tonight. If the weather doesn't totally suck, we will go to Spokane tomorrow.

                    NRR2- Our friend that watched R last night is a plumber and we have a preliminary plan for underground sprinklers going now.

                      Zorbs- I hope you can get  your meeting. I think its weird when companies hire managers off the street, it rarely works out well.

                      ERnie- can you tape plastic spoons to your table leg to fix it? Smile Just teasing.

                      CA- have a good trip!

                      Kant- good luck with DH's test- are they doing a scratch test or an IgE blood test? I am deathly allergic to nuts and have been hospitalized a few times. I also have gluten intolerance now, so eating is super fun

                      E_rainrun- I definitely think its your turn to blow off steam!

                        spike - it's weird, last night DH was sure dickhead would no-show to the meeting and now I'm wondering too.  But why would he no show? I didn't put in the 25 hours of availability like he demanded, you'd think he'd be raring to meet with me so he can fire me.  I don't think they hired him off the street - I heard he used to be a trainer at another location and they brought him in to "clean house" because the previous manager was very lassez-faire.  It's just that he's cleaning house in a way that's pissing everyone off royally.

                          RR: bootcamp followed by 6 damp, breezy miles this morning. Planning on an 11-12 mile LR for tomorrow morning.

                          TR: took a nice 3hr nap yesterday and was happy when he woke up. He was really good in the stores this morning, walking right next to me and just looking at everything on the shelves. I told him he could pick out something small at Hobby Lobby, figured he'd go for paint ;or chalk. Nope, he picked out a bag of beads that had alphabet letters on them. Ok. He carried that little bag around the store like it was a million dollar prize, then spent about 30 minutes sorting all the colors and letters when we got home.

                          NRR: ran a few errands this morning- hobby lobby for some craft stuff, Dicks sporting goods to use a gift card (it was only for $20, so I bought socks, exciting), the bank. Not doing much this afternoon, it's rainy and damp out.

                          ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                          zorbs- ahh, hot tub! I seriously want to go punch that dickhead in the face. I'm glad that your DH was able to write things down for you- it will help to have it documented if things get worse. LOL on B.
                          Ernie- hope you had a good run today, and the weather is good for your LR on Sunday. Haha on S wanting rice for breakfast. Yikes on the broken dining furniture. We need new LR furniture, but are going to wait until the kids are a bit older to replace what we have. Our current set is in good condition, it's just not our style.
                          CA- hope your LR goes well- sounds like perfect weather for it! glad that both girls did well at the dr's yesterday. hope they both sleep well tonight- sounds like they need it! have fun at the ski hill this weekend.
                          Kant- hope you got your run in before the rain. lol- R's favorite playmate right now is our beagle, and she's so tolerant of everything he does. She'll even stand there and let him hug her, it's cute! Have fun with A this morning. I hope your DH's allergy testing goes well. Are they looking for more things he's allergic to?
                          E-rain- wow, 60 miles two weeks out is impressive! I have some friends who do well on a 2-week taper, but I haven't been brave enough to try it myself yet. I taught R a few signs, mostly food-related ones like "more" and "all done" so that meal times were easier. I hope you can get some rest this weekend!
                          spike- hooray for a run and lift today. I love tired out toddlers. Is Burgers and Brews a chain? Sounds like something my DH would realy enjoy. So nice that you got a surprise night off with DH.
                              CA - Enjoy your LR - the weather sounds perfect! It is supposed to be 10C and sunny here on Sunday and I am so excited. Aw, poor O and her meltdown. It is hard to miss a nap, but sometimes it is necessary! Both take out in the car and your dinner plans sound delicious. You will have earned both after 28K!
                              kant - S saw leftover rice in the fridge early this week and asked for it for breakfast. And keeps asking for it. All week, her breakfast has been rice, a scrambled egg and berries. I guess it is a pretty good breakfast. Lol on the dogs not being into A sharing with them
                              e-rain - Awesome mileage again. You are going to have a great marathon! I don't know how you do it on such little sleep! I took S to baby sign language classes and she learned how to sign a few things before she could talk (more, milk, eat and all done). I was not very good about practicing signs with her at home, so maybe she would have signed even more if I had
                              spike - That burger place sounds great! Hey, they were regular metal spoons holding up my car windows, not plastic ones  We are just so lazy about getting things done. We have been saying we need a new table for years now and just never get around to shopping for one. Because of our laziness, I think I am destined to always have one ghetto thing in my life. Now that my car is all fixed up, I've got a ghetto dining room table on my hands.
                              rg - Is Hobby Lobby a giant craft store? One of my friends always talks about going there whenever she goes to the States. Yay for a three-hour nap! I find that alphabet-related toys like that are good for hours of entertainment!
