FACK YEAH it's Friday - Supermoms (Read 22 times)

Zorbs

beskirted & manicured

    still feel like I haven't slept for days..even though fortunately I've been asleep the second my head hit the pillow.

    ER - 2 short yoga videos. One is a good morning flow and the other is a yoga for runners.

    TR - as I mentioned yesterday, 4 pees and 1 standing poop.  But that was because he spent the morning pantsless, if I put a pull up on him, he gets lazy.  He refuses to put on the Thomas underwear we have, I think the next step is to go underwear shopping?

    FR - I originally have this one pot pasta planned, but want to ask DH if we can get takeout tonight and save the pasta for carb loading tomorrow night. oh, and CA - the meatloaf was a hit - I put in 2 chipotles, it had quite the kick.  Kicked my ass right out of the chair.

      zorbs- also doing the happy dance because it's Friday!!! I like the sounds of a one pot pasta meal- simple! good job B on the potty training front. is the half that you're pacing this Sunday? I hope you get some rest this weekend!

      RR: running to work, training client, then running home. probably keep it to around 6ish miles today, planning a LR of 12 tomorrow.

      TR: spent almost all day outside yesterday, i'm hoping for a not too cold winter with lots of snow so we can play outside a lot! his vocabulary is starting to get clearer, at least I feel like I can understand him a bit better, it's not all just babbling.

      NRR: no plans at all this weekend, and i'm so excited!

        Morning,

        RR - 2 miles to keep the legs loose.. thank goodness today wasn't race day because it was humid and gross.

        RR2 - race kit pickup after work

        TR - had a much better night compared to the last 2... managed to keep her distracted until DH got home.  Still eating like she's a growing teenage boy....

        NRR - have to go to a birthday dinner for my sister's husband tomorrow.. normally I like going to dinners with my family but i'm not the biggest fan of BIL...

        zorbs - mmm carb loading.. .I love carbs.. I don't wait for a race to carb load, i just eat them all the time (which isn't healthy but I'd pick pasta over meat almost any day)

        rg - I'm hoping for no snow this winter... ha... i hate snow... not sure how C will react to it since we kept her indoors most of last winter... hope you have a good no-plans weekend..

        Erniegirl

          ER - ST, core

          TR - I think things went okay with the babysitter yesterday. She was crying a bit when I got home, but I think it was mostly because she was tired. The babysitter said they played outside for nearly an hour, and then played inside and S didn't really start fussing until about 15 minutes before I got home. Which makes sense, since it was her bedtime. As long as it doesn't rain, I'm going to take S apple picking this morning.

          NRR #1 - Going out for dinner with a bunch of other moms from the community centre. RP and her DH are going to watch S. This is the third time I've been out without S this week, I feel like a party animal, lol!

          NRR #2 - I am really worried about a friend. She tried to get pregnant for over a year and then got pregnant with twins after doing fertility treatments. She lost one of the twins at the beginning of her second trimester. Yesterday she had an ultrasound and, I don't know all the details yet, but they obviously saw something concerning and admitted her to the hospital for bed rest. Then, last night, they felt that delivery was imminent and she got rushed to a bigger hospital in Toronto that has more specialists. She is only 26 weeks pregnant.

          ~~~~~
          zorbs - The standing poop thing is so funny! Whenever S sees DH peeing, she yells "poo!", so maybe she'll be a standing pooper, too, ha ha. Obviously I have no experience potty training, but I always hear people talking about taking their kids out to buy fun underwear, so I think that's your next step.
          rg - I was just thinking about winter, too, and about how I'm going to have to get lots of warm clothes because S will want to be outside all the time, no matter what the weather. Yay for a weekend without plans (and without ILs!) You need that!
          cx2 - Good luck at your half tomorrow! C is probably working up quite an appetite at daycare. S goes through phases where the amount of food she eats is mind boggling.
          5k - 20:46          10k - 41:27         10 mile - 1:15:32          Half marathon - 1:39:15
            Feeling like if I don't jump in you all will start to wonder about me!
            RR:  Maybe a  walk this afternoon.  Truly I have no energy to do anything but sit right now.
            TR:  Has a cold.  Woke up twice because he was congested but then slept from 11:30 - 6:30.  Poor guy.
            NRR:  My sub is supposed to come in and shadow today.  We shall see though.  I am not holding my breath.  Something is just a little off with this one.
            FR:  Sick of eating out, but don't want to make anything at home either.
            ***********
            zorbs - Jeans in our district are kind of taboo...especially for interviews.  Our "Employee Manual" clearly lays out our dress code.  While it is not followed by all, it is followed by many.
            Upcoming Races:
            Gazelle Girl 1/2 Marathon 4/13 - 1:48:46
            CTimesTwo
              mer - I was actually thinking about you this morning!  Glad you're still around... hope you're feeling good..
              ernie - aw that's sad about your friend.. I hope the news is good... thanks for the good wishes, but my half is Sunday Smile  I almost wish it was tomorrow though, I hardly ever run on Sundays now...
              armmama
                RR - 8 mile MP run this morning.  This was the last 8 mile MP run on the schedule, I am getting down there.  I can't believe the marathon is 6 weeks from Sunday!
                BR - We got their jackets & snowpants in the mail yesterday so the girls were trying theirs on and L wanted in on the fun so I put his on and he was too cute.  He kind of walked around like the kid on A Christmas Story.
                KR - had a meeting at DD2's school yesterday with all her teachers and therapists.  I think it went pretty well and it was nice to finally meet everyone!
                FR - going out for pizza tonight with BIL and SIL and the kids
                NRR - DH and I are going to a 40th birthday party for a friend tomorrow.  They live 45 minutes away and MIL is here watching the kids so we are going to spend the night at their house so we don't have to worry about driving home.  Should be fun!
                zorbs - when a friend of mine was PTing her son he was always naked whenever we'd go over there.  Whatever works!
                rg - I'm hoping for the same kind of winter!  My kids are so excited to play in the snow.  DD1 was making pretend snow angels on our floor last night.  haha
                cx2 - what race are you running tomorrow?
                ernie - glad S did well with the sitter!  I'm so sorry for your friend, what a terrible situation.  Sad
                mer - glad you jumped in to let us know you're still around!  Smile  I get really sick of eating out too if I do it too much.  I hope you can find something good.
                  Morning!
                  RR:  Just over 8 done.  Took the watch forever to find satellite and didn't start until maybe a .5 mile in.  I'm ok with that though since the first part is uphill.
                  TR:  GAH!  Would not go to bed last night.  Was up at 3 a.m. as well.  What is wrong with this kid.
                  FR:  Spaghetti, sautéed spinach and garlic bread.  Although I feel like poo today so I might just have soup.
                  NRR:  I feel like I am spinning my wheels.  Trying to have a better outlook on things though.  I do have a pretty good life.
                  Ok, bossman is here this morning so I will have to be back for personals later.
                    Morning!
                    RR - SRD, duathlon tomorrow!
                    RR2 - grastoned my IT band w/ M's hockey stick earlier in the week, it feels great, and I have a nice line of bruises along my IT band Smile
                    TR - still sleeping!!  Was a mess when gma dropped her off, crying over everything... grrr, it improved through the day luckily.
                    BR - teething!  Was up in the night, screamed bloody murder when I first put her to bed last night, I got her up and gave her advil and then she went to sleep much better.  Poor girl Sad
                    FR - not sure, maybe leftovers tonight now, I made a hamburger casserole w/ some leftover rice last night, and there's quite a bit of it, plus a few other random things in the fridge.
                    NRR - I think we're going to go to the mall today, tried to convince M to go when they got home yesterday but she was a grouch and I didn't want to be out w/  a grouch.
                    NRR2 - DH and I go away tomorrow after his LR and my race! YAY Smile  We have dinner reservations at one of the nicer restaurants too, and it's walking distance from our hotel Smile
                      ER: Elliptical again? Maybe walking on the TM? Not sure yet...
                      TR: She pooped, so all is better in the nola household.
                      FR: Roasted chicken, maybe with orzo and veggies?
                      zorbs: you can curse all you want in these parts, no need for a fack!
                      rg: happy dance here, too!
                      cx2 - what is your goal for the race?
                      mer: hi!! you are getting so close!!
                      ernie: glad the babysitter went well. We have a babysitter in FL lined up tomorrow night and I'm very leery about how it will go over. A has only met her once, very briefly.
                      arm: wowzers, I have been out of the loop too long! 6 weeks!! How are you feeling?
                      becky: I'm tired reading about C not sleeping.  Sleepy
                      CA: M has a hockey stick? Self graston scares me, but I bet it hurts so good.
                        zorbs - I'd take B underwear shopping for sure! We had a lot of naked time too when we were pt'ing. Glad the meatloaf worked out! Does B like spicy things? I didn't even try it w/ the peppers cause M wouldn't have eaten it.
                        RG - You might not want to play outside when it's super cold, but I bet R won't care! We were shocked last year that M played happily outside in super cold weather, she was all bundled up of course, but loved it.
                        cx2 - I hope the weather is good for your race! I feel like I'm feeding 2 teenagers plus 2 marathoners right now, it's insane.
                        ernie - that's great that the babysitter did well! Look at you having another night out! Oh no re your friend, I hope everything is ok, but that does sound super scary!
                        mer - I hope the sub shows up! How much mat leave are you taking? Hopefully she doesn't screw up your class too bad while you're off.
                        arm - nice early morning run! Exciting that the marathon is getting so close, you're going to nail it!
                        becky - awesome run this morning. Boo to the non sleeping kid, give your mama a break kid! Sorry that you're feeling down about things now, Having a positive attitude is half of it for sure. I really hope you can figure out what else is missing.
                        Honorary Old
                          NRR: Last night we went with DH to Moses Lake to get our allergy shots. He had a union negotiation meeting that he thought would be over quick. Yeah, it was 4 HOURS. R and I went to the park for about an hour an a half and he ended up eating an apple from my purse for dinner. I finally got him to sleep 40 mins past his bedtime, and we didn't get home until 10. DH was very apologetic- no one thought the meeting would take that long.
                          NRR2: FACK is right. A couple of weeks ago one of my clients came in before they went down to Yuma and were telling me how Doritos from Mexico are way better than American doritos. They came in yesterday and brought a bag- I ate them because I just had doritos at the baby shower on Saturday. I looked at the ingredients list (in spanish) after I had eaten them and saw Trigo-- wheat Sad. At least this will be confirmation about my gluten sensitivity since both times before were things I guessed on after the fact. Massive headache and swollen upset stomach. This weekend is gonna suck, but its a good excuse to skip that work BBQ.
                          TR: Was actually pretty good despite the whole 4 hour waiting for dad thing. DH went on a fire call as I was getting ready for work this morning, so now I have a toddler scribbling on every piece of paper he can find in my office :S
                          FR: Ate one leftover taco last night. No porkchop smothered porkchops Smile
                            Zorbs:  Yum, Chipotles.  I love chipotle anything and everything.
                            RG:  My plan for this weekend is to stay in my pjs as much as possible Smile  I love not having plans.
                            Cx2:  Good luck tomorrow!!!!
                            Ernie:  oh no!  I am so sorry to hear about your friend Sad
                            Mer:  Hope your sub works out!
                            CA:  Good luck on your du tomorrow!  LOL on the hockey stick.  What we runners won't do to ourselves.
                            Nola:  I know walking on the TM is hard for a runner but I've been cranking up the incline and doing some nice powerwalking in the TM.  Nice for a change every now and then.
                            Spike:  That is everyday for me.  Bossman says oh this hearing will only take a few minutes - hours later he returns.  Makes scheduling hard.  Boo on the doritos.
                              RR2: 6.6 miles this morning, and I felt decent. it was super foggy out, kinda creepy!
                              Cx2- glad that C was good for you last night, those solo nights can be hard! yay for packet pickup, is it a big expo? have fun at the dinner, sorry it's for BIL and not someone in the family you like. i'd rather have feet of snow to play in than just cold raw winter days.
                              Ernie- glad that S behaved for the sitter. Sounds like S and R would have a blast playing together- they are both crazy high energy kids. hope you had fun apple picking. enjoy your dinner out tonight, whoa I don't think I've been out without R three times in the past 6 months, hahaha. clearly I need to get out more. yikes, I will be praying for your friend and her baby, I hope everything is ok for them both!
                              Mer- hey mama! last day of school for you, maybe? Wink I hope that your sub made it in today, really odd about that! aw, I hope poor J can kick his cold soon.
                              arm- nice job on your MP run today! wow, 6 weeks to go- you're running NYCM, right? one of my PT clients is running that. she was signed up to run last year, but that didn't happen! glad that you were able to meet all of DD's teachers and support staff- do you like them all? have a fun pizza night out! oooh, I like the night out w/o kids- enjoy! lol on the snow angels.
                              becky- great job on the run today. I find that if my garmin is taking a while to find the satellite and I tap the bezel once on the side it locks in. weird. whoa C, go the eff to sleep! sorry you're not feeling well, I hope it passes soon! hugs mama, keep your chin up!
                              CA- good luck tomorrow!!! lol on the at home Graston. I've used a rolling pin in place of a foam roller, ahhh hurts so good. ugh sorry on the crying mess, but glad M turned it around. aw, poor O! I hope those teeth pop through soon. yay for a weekend away with DH!!! have fun! enjoy your trip to the mall. I don't mind playing outside in the cold, it's just way more fun when there's snow too Smile I grew up in the foothills of the Adirondack Mtns in NY state, so I'm used to cold snowy winters- love them! but surprisingly I hate to ski.
                              nola- yay for A pooping! mmm, I love orzo! have you tried walking for exercise again yet, post sfx? I hope it feels ok for you!
                              spike- oh  my goodness- 4hrs!!! i'm glad that R was so good for you. oh no on being glutened again, i'm so sorry! I hope things settle down soon and you're feeling better. I guess the only good thing is you get out of that boring bbq.
                                rg - yup, fall racing season begins on Sunday with the 2:15 run/walk pacer gig.
                                cx2 - why do you feel the need to keep her indoors?  I remember throwing B in snowbanks when he was about 8 months old.
                                ernie - I keep meaning to take B on an underwear buying excursion, but the only place I can think of with fun branded underwear is Target, I mean the Hot Wheels store.
                                mer - i guess it wasn't just her jeans wearing that gave you the heebie jeebies? I hope you can figure out what her issues are before she takes over!
                                arm - great job on your MP run!
                                becky - I don't start running until I have satellites.  Even if I'm standing there for 5 minutes staring at my wrist like a fool.
                                CA - B doesn't eat meat so the chipotle was a non-issue.  I love when restaurants are walking distance from a hotel Smile
                                nola - I wrote FACK because I wanted any passersby in the forum to at least THINK we are a classy, non-swearing bunch Wink  I have self-grastoned my IT bands with a butter knife, a metal spork, and the handle of my razor, but CA's toy hockey stick makes it so very Canadian.
                                spike - sorry you got glutened.  so DID the mexican doritos taste better?  I googled porkchops smothered in porkchops last night just for the hell of it and came up empty. Sad
