Zorbs

beskirted & manicured

ER - ST at the gym.  I only have 1 client.

RR - here are my final 2012 stats:

2628.2 km/1633.09 miles run (the equivalent of just over 62 marathons, or the distance from Burlington, ON to Edmonton, AB)
    4 PRs (8K, 10 mile, 30K, marathon)
274 hours, 26 minutes, 50 seconds running time
18000+ total fitness minutes (including strength training)

TR - put the toddler door lock thingy back on his door and taped the 2 halves together so he couldn't pull it off.  There was some screaming, but it definitely took less than 3 hours to get him down to sleep!  The way he says "excuse me" is ADORABLE.

    FR - have reservations here.

NRR - going to see Les Miz BEFORE dinner..I bought waterproof mascara so hopefully I will not look like a sad panda at dinner.

RR: My stats (although I may do a 3 to 6 mile run tonight):  1463 kms (909 miles), 157 hours of running.  3 HMs, lots of 4, 5 and 6 k races, 10 mile and 12 mile race and my first marathon.  I went from a 29 minute 5k to a 27:01 5k.

KR: fighting over my big crocheted blanket.  Movie night for them and then early bed for us all.  I go back to work on Friday.

NRR:  Tired and drained from the news I got last night about a former student who died in a car crash just before christmas.

      mrszackmorris

rr: ugly christmas sweater run in 6 inches of snow. i tried to post a pic just now but it turned out huge so i will do it on fb.

rr2 looks like i need to be better at tracking my stats!

nrr: survived the hotel with extended family  Overall tons of fun and kids were great. Headed to friends today for a family sleepover.

br: 15 month check up. probably 3 shots and a blood draw for anemia.

tr: so excited to go sleep at their friends tonight. Gotta stop for hats and favors!

        fr: um blood mary's....

        mrszackmorris

zorbs: great stats! I just read an interview with anne hathaway where she says her performance is "okay/not terrible."

leah: nice stats! Sorry to hear about your student. A few months ago a former student of mine (my most intelligent!) drowned in a local lake at 3am. Alcohol to blame. I was so mad/sad bc he was so much smarter than that

          BermyHorse

RR: starting wk4 of fm training. easy 3m recovery. Yesterday’s 8m was interesting. The trail I use was impassable at 3m due to flooding so we had to take a different route. And I used the weather shield the whole time to make bob more cozy for DS and more aerodynamic. I gave DH the time to do whatever he wanted. When we got back he was totally engrossed in the latest bond movie. It was adorable.

NRR: had doc apt about vertigo this morning. Got referral to ear specialist. Have had vertigo for a week now. It’s not as bad but it is still there. Maybe related to AF as migraine or maybe positional.

NRR2: DH and I had a TTC conversation – we are going to ‘casually ttc’ and see what happens. I am going to carry on running as normal, life is going to carry on as normal. I don’t want to build my hopes up and then have months and months of heartache and disappointment. I don’t expect to be able to get pg again with only one ovary and I am pretty darn lucky to have DS. Life would be just complete with just DS too.

NRR3: it's 59 degrees here. I have no idea where my coat is. I am wearing a hoodie and a vest.

BR: finds the word “zipper” the funniest word in the English language. He was belly laughing every time DH said it.

FR: chicken breast, broccoli and sweet potatoes.

RR - Depends on how many miles I have this year to make it a nice number.  Between 5 and 8.

TR - not much going on.  Started looking at swim lessons and other social classes at the y for this winter/spring.

NRR - my last night tonight of going to bed late and getting up "late".  Back to work Wednesday.  DH and I are lame and spending the night at home.

FR - junk food tonight....spinach artichoke dip, bacon wrapped water  chestnuts, cheese and sausage, kit kat bars (homemade).

              ********

zorbs - great stats for the year!

Leah - what movie are you going to watch?

mrszm - have fun tonight!  Glad you had fun at the hotel.

bemy - when do you see the specialist?   I hope you have a good day.

              Upcoming Races:

              Gazelle Girl 1/2 Marathon 4/13 - 1:48:46

RR: You guys are making me wish I recorded my mileage for the year!  Definitely a goal for this year.  Ran my 10.75 mi yesterday.  My LR day is going to be Saturday so I messed up my schedule a little my doing it yesterday.  FM training plan starts today but I might switch today and tomorrow, meaning rest today and 8 mi with tempo tomorrow.

BR:  So cute!  He loves to crawl away from me really fast and giggle as I run to chase him.  Yesterday he took a few steps multiple times.  I am pretty confident he will be walking as soon as DH leaves.

NRR:  Last day with DH Sad.  We are headed to Colorado Springs today to visit a bunch of old friends.  We are going to a NYE party but will likely leave by about 9 to get DS to bed and because DH flys out at 6am tomorrow.

                .........................

zorbs - Have fun at the movie and dinner!

leah - Sorry again about that news.  Hope you are doing ok today.

mrszm - Is the ugly xmas sweater run a racE?

bermy - Great news about the casual TTC.  As always, your run sounds pretty hardcore.  Do you like the weather shield?  I am thinking about getting one to protect from wind.

mer - Mmm bacon wrapped chesnut.  Sounds interesting and yummy!

Hi ladies, just a fly by today, sorry..

RR - 9.35 in slush and snow on Saturday, 6.75 miles this morning sans stroller.. DH is still on vacation for another week..yay...

Didn't add up my mileage for the year but I know it's over 1000 miles..

BR - puked twice in 2 days, which she hasn't done in a long time.. she rarely spits anything up now... we think it's b/c of dairy.. .I gave her a couple of licks of ice cream, and then she ate some cheese... so, back to just eating yogurt for now.... her top teeth might be coming in too...

NRR - no NYE plans which is ok.. neither DH nor I are big into celebrating it so we'll just take out and a movie and I can be in bed by 11!

bermy - 59 would be shorts and bra top running weather for me!!

                    beskirted & manicured

leanne - why don't you have until Monday off?

mrszm - waiting to see your ugly Christmas sweater!

bermy - yah 59 degrees is running skirt, short sleeves and patio weather here.  I cry a lot.  Just ask DH.

mer - your food sounds delish! are the chestnuts water chestnuts or the other kind? just don't put liver in it, yuck.

shelby - my log (used to be RW, now use the one on here, which is identical) tracks time/mileage.

cx2 - I never realized how much people love Chinese takeout on NYE, one year it took over 2 hours to get food...

RR - ran 887 miles in 2012, although I'd like to get in 4 sometime today.  Only ran one half in February and it wasn't a PR, but PRd in my 5K, 10K and 15K races.  2013 will be my year to PR in the longer distances!

BR - puts the phone (or anything that looks like a phone) up to his ear and says "hi hi hi hi hi"

KR - told them they are in charge of themselves today so I can do some cleaning around the house!

NRR - no plans for us tonight.  Our neighborhood is doing a big party but I didn't make an effort to find a sitter and I'm really not up for it anyway.  I did enough drinking and staying up late last week, I  have no desire to do it again tonight.

                        armmama

zorbs - wow you logged a lot of miles!!  I am  hoping for 1200 in 2013, 100 miles/month seems doable.

leah - so sorry to hear about your former student.

mrszm - sounds like an interesting race!

bermy - good luck with the ttc!  I used to say I was going to casually ttc but I always knew when I ovulated so it was too hard for me to carry on as normal.  I still have not gotten AF back, I think that is a record PP for me!

mer - I'm considering swim lessons with L over the winter.  I've never done with them with my kids this young, but it might be fun.

shelby - enjoy your last day with DH.  I hope the time goes quickly until the next time you see him!

cx2 - you guys who run in snow and slush amaze me!  I hope you figure out the puking!

                            Morning!

RR - I was sorta hoping I'd have time for 5k today but don't know if I will.

BR - teething!  She was up until 11 last night when we gave her tylenol and then she slept well.

TR - was in bed at 6:30 last night without a snack because she was screaming and not listening.  Woke up happy so all is good now.

FR - making snacks and junk for tonight for supper, maybe some healthy split pea soup to start things out.

NRR - going to the hobbit today instead, decided that I didn't need to stay up till after 11 to see a movie.  Lucky we didn't go as O was fussy and not happy last night, she would have been a pill for my mom to take care of.

RR2 - my total mileage this year 1212.8 km (758 miles).  Pretty pleased with that as I was prg for 8.5 mos of that.

I'll try to do some spotty personals but don't have much time.

zorbs - are we talking crying at movies or life in general. love your stats. I am so not a stat person. i always wear my garmin but i never upload the info. I could learn to do that sometime.

leah - i would get that looked at no matter what the wait. enlist bf. Your health it too important to your brood plus you will have next to no time when school starts again.

mrszm - can't wait for your pic. I told DH about it and he says he wants to do it as a fam next year pretending to be totally serious about it but find the most hideous sweaters possible - so hoping you wil inspire us.

mer - enjoy your run. and have a lovely night tonight and late morning tomorrow. hope it is fun and relaxing for you.

shelby - we are here all day every day on ra and fb for you when your DH is away. You have a great support network so use us whenever you need a prop. Big hugs. Oh and totally buy the weather shield. I would have missed out on dozens of run cos of rain. I can just go now no matter what. Plus it's great when it's windy too as a buffer. The only problem is that it can get hot in there when it is rainy in summer time but then I am not so worried abour DSs little tootsies getting splashed. It doesn't attach too well at the top so I have to fiddle with it to make sure there are no holes to allow water in - that usually only happens when I am running in super heavy rain for a long time.

virginia - wtg on bran top in 59! I am still in shorts and t-shirt for running. Hoodie and vest for bumming around. I would NEVER wear a bra top to run here  - it is SUPER conservative and men are SUPER forward - even if you have a high pony tail and a sem-tight t-shirt they will beep and holler and shout "looking great hottie" as loud as they can when they pass you. very embarrassing. I run in way too many clothes to avoid this attention. Unless I have motivation issues and then the ruffled lulu skirt comes out.

arm - did you gender choose your DS? I know I said casual TTCing... but... here's a question - if we dtd before I ovulate would I have a greater chance of having another boy?

                              Honorary Old

RR: Didn't go yesterday, just didn't feel like it. I plan to do prob 4 miles this afternoon.

BR: Took 3 long naps yesterday and ate like a horse, must be growing. Woke at 4:40 am and I made DH go give him his binky and a hug because I knew he would totally flip out if I went in there, he went back to sleep until 6 am, thank God. He's been in a pretty good mood today, so that's good. Let him scribble with crayons and eat play dough while I cleaned and reorganized my craft room yesterday. I pawned some giant baby toys off on my sister (jumparoo and exersaucer) so I actually can have my sewing table set up again and my craft table cleared off.

FR: Last night was vegetarian chili and corny cornbread. Haven't decided about tonight, last night of meat!

NRR: Going to the chiro today at 11 and then meeting one of my BFFs for lunch in the next town. We live over an hour apart, so I'm driving 30 mins and she's driving 45 to meet in the middle. I'm so excited to find out the sex of her baby next week!  Speaking of babies, I still haven't seen my friend's baby that was born over 2 weeks ago, she's being kind of a mombie already. Her MIL went to visit her and the baby in the hospital and she turned her away.

NYE- R- no plans. DH always volunteers to be on command on holidays for some reason, which means no drinking and can't leave a 10 mile radius around the city. Maybe a movie and popcorn or something lame. Not worth it to me to stay up late with R getting up so early and DH on night shift, so I'm not going to celebrate.

zorbs- have fun on your date night! sounds fun!

Leah- Have a fun night with the kids! Are you going to rent a new movie or watch something you already have?

mzm- sorry about shots today, R is always a whiner for like 5 days after. Glad you survived the family circus.

Bermy- Lots of people do "not trying, not preventing" for TTC- it sounds like a good option. I don't like tracking temps and stuff because I get obsessed. I hope you can get answers about your vertigo. Cute about zipper! 59 degrees is short sleeves/shorts weather. Anything over 50 is shorts/skirt for sure.

mer- I didn't track my numbers the whole year, and my numbers I have tracked are depressing. How many miles have you run?

shelbyjo- sorry DH has to leave. WHen does he get deployed again? I only tracked my mileage in 2010 and I reached 1000 miles, best shape I was ever in, then I got pregnant and its been downhill from there LOL

cx2- Maybe the cultures in the milk help her digest it?

arm- cute about the Hi!s  R was playing with a toy cellphone I dug out of a box yesterday and he was putting it to his ear backwards so the flip part was pointed away from his head LOL
