      17.2 miles for me!

Great run. I love Fall/Winter - I felt like I could have kept going! If I had the time I probably would have gone to 20. I wore the Ride 10's and they felt great! They do need some more breaking in though. Feet are sore..and my PF acted up a little bit. I am sure wearing my boots right now doesn't help. I need to buy some winter causal shoes other than boots. Anyway, great run! I switched up the route a bit so that the second half of the run was 2 mile loops - so I only had to do 4 loops instead of 10+ Smile

So there is this car that has been sitting at the beginning of our culdesac for the past couple days. He sits there from 6:30am-7:30am. Of course my thinking is he is watching houses. Especially now when everyone has gifts under their tree! I took a picture of the car this morning and wrote down the license plate. I posted it in on our neighborhood HOA Facebook to see if anyone reconigzes it. If not, I am reporting it! I almost told Mammel I would be in after the car left! HCBF needs to switch up his schedule sometimes and just be home random nights. Our habits are very predictable.

Lots of running around this morning getting ready. I got home at 6:30 and somehow made it out the door by 7:35. I am just now sitting down and relaxing! Ugh. Going to be a long day - BUT GLAD ITS FRIDAY!!

Docket – That is a long call! When I was at my previous job..we used to do 8 hour powerpoint meetings. Yup. BRUTAL.

Tessa – I leave no cookie behind! I am not sure where it came from! Nice treadmill miles yesterday…wow that is awful about the fires. Is that where all of the avocados come from? CA?

Diane – So sorry to hear about Jasmine. Sad

Run2trail – Congrats to your friend on her PH.D!!! My dad has one, and he told me about the YEARS it took to get one..that is hard work! Don’t think I could do that…Won a 2nd pair of shoes?!?!?! What? Are you just entering online and winning? I need some of your luck!

Laura – Hang in there Laura! Let us know how the interview next week goes. I am crossing my fingers for you. Totally get wanting something more challenging..I do too! I am willing to take a pay cut for it.

Sandy - Hope you have a good hair apt!!! Smile

Hope everyone is doing their Friday dance!

Diane, I am so sorry about Jasmine.  (((hugs)))

Lizzie, yes, by all means report the car! Here they have started putting GPS in fake packages. The guys stealing them have been tracked and arrested by police.

Thursday I had a good 35 minute late afternoon run at the gym. It was so nice to get the hair cut & color. Ahhhhhh!

Today I’ll use the TM if I don’t go to the gym with DC. We’re going out tonight since it is my birthday. I am blest to have been given 75 years on the planet.

        Safe and happy runs, All!

Thanks, poor thing never really had a chance but at least she was loved at one point in her brief little life.

Lizzie, that's scary about the car, especially with you out there alone.  I always change up my route and time/days I'm home and we leave one vehicle at home all the time.  DH switches between his car and the truck.  It's just second nature now so I don't even think about doing it.  Our neighbor mentioned there had been a van hanging out in the area too.  She lives alone out there so when I drive by I check to see if her overhead doors are up but I think I'm going to give her my cell number just in case.  Her ex does stop by and checks on her too.

Happy birthday Judy.  If I just read your posts I'd never guess you were 75!  Have a great night out.

            Happy Birthday Judy!

DHuffman, you gave Jasmine a good life and comfort.

Happy Friday!  Slow day at work, most people are out of the office.  I may sneak down to the workout room downstairs and walk on the TM for a few minutes.    Rest day today, except for the ab challenge.  Tonight is our company holiday party, it is at the Potawatomi Casino Hotel.  We should be in the 30's this weekend so I am expecting to get an outside run in!

Diane, I am so sorry about Jasmine!  I'm glad that she had you for any amount of time.

Lizzie, awesome long run!  Hope you stay awake today.     Creepy about that car.  I hope it's nothing.  But better to be cautious.  That is weird that Ruger found a cookie in your backyard!  One of my friend's dogs likes to eat sticks.  Big ones!  It can't be good for her.  DD chases her around trying to grab the sticks.

Judy, interesting about the fake packages with GPS!  Happy Birthday!  Hope you have a fun celebration.  You are a very young 75.

Karen, I'm glad everything went OK with the colonoscopy.  The whole medical/insurance thing is crazy.  It's always an adventure seeing what you're billed, what the insurance company writes off, and what you end up paying.  I am paying more for having my mole removed than DH for his knee surgery.  Haha, glad your meat showed up.

Kat, I hope you continue to feel better!

Tessa, I guess there are different kinds of pet friendly salt, from salt that is cut so it is finer to products that are made without salt.  It is expensive though.  But it is probably worth getting some to put on our sidewalk for the doggies!

Sandy, nice trail miles!  Yay!     Haha, no problem on meat delivery in the Midwest is correct.  Sometimes we use our garage as a fridge!  The workout had different kettlebell moves, not just swings.  It took me awhile to get used to using my hips for the swinging.     I never thought about putting my shoes on the heat vent to warm them up.  Though my running shoe rack is right by the heat vent in my bedroom.    Maybe I should put my socks on the vent to warm them!

Elina, nice to see you are surviving!  I was wondering about you.

Damaris, great job behaving on your run.    Pilates and a meeting at the same time?  That is multi-tasking!

Tessa, the fires out there have been really devastating this year!

Diana, congrats on the shoes!  Those look like nice ones.  Have you tried Inov-8 before?  I've seen them a lot and was curious about them.

Laura, glad you survived the week!

Morning!  I have OTF and 4 miles tonight.  I checked and it looks to be run/row day which is so much fun!  Leaving work at noon to hopefully go see Star Wars.

Lizzie, nice run!  You did right in checking with the HOA.  It could be a stalker, ex boyfriend, or like you said, some thief that's checking which house they can rob and what is the neighborhood quirks and movements.

Diane, I'm sorry about Jasmine.  Hugs, and like you said, she was loved for however time she had.

Judy, enjoy the TM.  Happy Birthday!

                HCK, morning!

Cathy, enjoy the rest day and the party!

Hi Cathy, we're kind of slow here today too. Boss is out sick and out company Christmas lunch is from noon to 2 and as soon as it's over I'm leaving to get ready for this weekend.

Hi Diana, nice score on the free shoes.

Anyone heard from Margaret?  I wonder how she's doing.

                  Kat, hope you feel better.

                  Hi HCK.

Damaris I can't imagine doing a meeting and Pilates.  My attention span lately has been one track and even that wanders around awhile.

                  Seloc

TRX/KettleBells class this morning.  Lots more bells!  Makes my hands sore haha.  Tough class but felt good.  My sister sent something in the mail and either the postage fell off or they didn't see the meter or it didn't get metered or who knows.  They left a note yesterday.  So, I was there when they opened (it's in the next town so not uber convenient).  Well they couldn't find the darn thing!  Have to wait to talk to the clerk that last handled it and she gets in at noon.  Blerg.  I REALLY don't want to go back there - especially THIS time of year!  Although I did run into two people I know.  Good ol' small town USA haha

Oh! re: breaking out when running/working out more - nope, not for me.  I feel like the sweat cleans my pores!

Diane - so very sorry about Jasmine.  Yes, you did look cold in your Jack pics.  Does walking faster warm you up at all?  That's why I have to run - to warm up!  I could never walk that far in that weather - too darn cold haha

Elina - wowzers!  Hope all goes well (going well as I type!)

Lizzie - yep, I submitted my app for Target and applied for the job where you pick the items and bring them to the front for the customer that orders online.  I forget what they call it.  Will see what happens.  Nope, not staying at a resort.  We are a low budget group and found a large rental with kitchen facilities about 45min north of resort town.  My feet are not cold when running but putting them into cold shoes isn't fun.  I keep my shoes in the garage.  Hence the heat vent when I remember haha.

Damaris - I absolutely LOVE you were able to multi-task a CC and pilates!!

Tessa - good point on those recipes that say to put it on back porch haha.  Makes me wonder, though, where you keep your beer?  haha  yikes on the fires still and oh no about the fruit.  Was it last year or the year before avocados were scarce?  That time, though, I think it was the ones coming from MX?

Diana - oh man brews and cues sounds FUN!  Tell us more!  Nah, no way you have become a wuss already - you've got that MN blood in ya!  20s all week here has been fanTAStic!  The brutal cold is supposed to arrive late next week - just in time for me to go to MX woohoo!  OMG lucky duck on the shoes!!  Hope DH feels better soon!

Laura - been thinking about you!  No fair that work is crazy in Dec.  Everyone should be on the slide!  But, as always, you are keeping the streak alive!  HIGH FIVE for THAT!

Lizzie2 - awesome run this morning!  Again! ha ha.  OMG you do 1mi loops??  Goodness I could NEVER.  Too many chances to cut it short.  You have some SERIOUS mental discipline, girl.  SUPER CREEPY about the car!  Smart to take the photo.  Get it the heck out of there.  What are you two lovebirds up to this weekend?

Judy - HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS TO YOU!!

                    Oops - posted too soon...

Cathy - hope the slow day doesn't drag and heck yeah for getting some walking in on work time!  Have fun at the party tonight.  My company does nothing but my coworker has organized a pot luck for Tuesday.  Not really a fan of such with all these dirty men I work with it kinda grosses me out LOL  But, I'll play along.  I'm bringing a winter salad (the mixed greens, cranberries, walnut one) that I'm sure no one will eat but me!  mid 20s for us this weekend and I'm stoked!  Deep freeze coming late next week - gotta enjoy the outdoor miles while we can!

Off to get my hair did.  Happy Friday to all!

                    WINE o'clock somewhere!

Bitch and moan...  I slept "better" last night.  I woke up every 30 min, rolled over, and went back to sleep.  The night before was every 5-15 min. Fell asleep on the couch at 6pm, went to bed at 7, got up at 8:30.  Back hurts from being in bed way too long.  Still feel off, but no more chills since last night, phew.  I will assume I had a wicked fever.

Lizzie, great run!!  creepy about the car.

                      Judy, Happy Birthday!!

Diane, sorry about Jasmine, that's tough.

                      HCK, HI!

Cathy, when you said it will be in the 30's, I thought you were going to say time for an INDOOR run.

Sandy, I have no Christmas plans.  Since I don't get along with her husband, we don't do the holidays together.  Actually, it doesn't bother me too much.  There were a few orphan parties I could have gone to, but I never like them.

Doubt I will get out for a run tomorrow unless I feel phenomenally improved.  Plus it is supposed to be 53 and RAIN.

Have a feeling I will be sitting in a corner all day at work on my computer trying to keep awake.

Awww, Kat, not sleeping well SUCKS!  Especially when you are feeling so crappy.  Is that your mom's husband you don't get along with?  Ah, I wish I lived closer!  I'd invite myself over and bring the wine.  Who needs food when there is wine?!  Hang in there, chica, thinking of you.

                          Happy Friday!!

No run yet, it's been snowing all morning so I will probably go out sometime this afternoon.

Lizzie - Wow, what an awesome run!!  That is weird about the car and smart of you to check into it.  I will keep you posted about the job though I am thinking it may be a while before I hear anything since it is the day before we close.  One of the nurses in the office is also interviewing for it, not sure how many people total (it was posted to the public so could be several candidates).  I wouldn't take a pay cut for it since I get paid beans now LOL!

                          Judy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

                          Hi Kupcakes!!

Cathy - have fun at the Christmas party!!

Damaris - have a good workout and enjoy the movie!

Diane - I'm sorry about Jasmine.  Have a good weekend!

Sandy - fun about the possible Target job, I'm assuming it's a seasonal, secondary job?  I would work at Kohl's or Barnes and Noble if we ever got one in town.  Have a great hair appointment!

Kat - glad you are feeling a bit better, hang in there.  I would be happy just hanging out on Xmas, I am already over it and we still have 10 days LOL

                          Trails

Sandy, until my back started hurting I was doing a run/walk so did get warm...when I do walk it was a 15 min mile pace.  In the warmer temps I can walk faster.

Glad you feeling somewhat better today Kat.  I woke up with a killer headache and an unhappy stomach.  Hoping it was just all the junk food I've eaten recently.

Good luck Laura on the job posting/interview.

                            Tessa

Diane, I am sorry for Jasmine's death. Some kittens just aren't very strong and won't make it no matter how much care and love they get. She knew that she was safe, warm, and cared for, and that's a good thing. I know what you mean about brief little lives. There are some photos I don't want to delete from my phone because they're the only evidence that those kittens ever existed, and they may have been just kittens but they mattered to me.

Good idea to exchange cell numbers with neighbours.

Smokier here today because the Thomas fire is kicking up on the eastern front. Too close to the condor sanctuary (there's one condor chick that's expected to start flying in the next week or so) as well as a lot of homes and other structures.

Liz, yes, almost all avocados grown in this country come from California. Florida does some and Hawai'i a small number. https://www.statista.com/statistics/610460/production-avocados-us-by-state/

I could spend a lot of time geeking on this site...

Creepy about the guy sitting in his car. Could you and HCBF go ask him what he wants? There may be a simple answer, like he drops off his kids at a school and doesn't have to go to work until later but it's not worth going back home, but he may also be casing the street.

Diana, if it is a trail divas get-together, personally I would go for a run, change my shirt, pull on sweatpants over my shorts, and go to the gathering without driving back home to shower. Congratulations on the shoe win, how are you entering these? Inquiring and needing-shoes minds want to know.

Judy, that is a good idea -- GPS tagging fake packages!  And happy birthday!

Cathy, have fun at the party. Can't say I ever thought of heating my shoes before putting them on either. Maybe putting them on the heat vent if they are wet, but that would smell up the house.

Damaris, hope you have the movie tickets already. I think that is going to be a very popular movie this weekend.

Sandy, how aggravating to make a trip to the post office and then they can't find the parcel! I don't drink beer but have to find space for everything in the fridge. I am a master of fridge Tetris.

Kat, feel better. You have to work today? And no do not go for a run if you are recovering from being sick and it is 53 and rainy.

Good luck Laura on the interview. Would this mean having to go to 5 days rather than your 4 day schedule?

3.2 this morning. Hoping for the gym at lunch and maybe an easy lights run this evening. So far so good on the tracking this week with the exception of Monday's cookiefest. And the wind is kicking up again. Dammit.

I reported the car to the police. One of the neighbors said they were already patrolling. They need to come between 6:30am-7:30am like I told them! But at least its reported. If I see it again I will call right away so they can catch him!

I ended up hitting the grocery store for my lunch. I want some cake but they don't have it today..so the next best thing to me is SPAGHETTI. After that run this morning, its my treat! Smile I dropped off the stuff at home and while I was there I took HCBF's personal car out of the garage. That way it looks like someone is home. I can't wait to see his FFACCEEEE

Judy – Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a great time out tonight! You deserve it Smile  I have heard of exploding decoy packages, too. Maybe I should invest in one.

Diane –I just remembered that you mini vacay with DH is this weekend!! I hope you have a great time!! OH Diane, I meant to say I thought of you this morning because oddly, my lower back was KILLING me. I must have slept on it wrong or something.

Cathy – It is slow here as well! Hopefully you can get in some workout time Smile  Have fun at the company party tonight! I am jealous..I wish our company would do something like that. Is it open bar? Hahah. Hoping you get out for an outside run this weekend. How is your foot feeling after the progression run??? Are you seriously paying more for your mole being removed than DH’s knee surgery? THAT IS CRAZY. How does that even make sense?! Ugh.

Docket – I heard about Star Wars on my Podcast this morning! I haven’t seen any of the new ones. But I did watch the old ones all the time when I was a kid. Good luck with the workout tonight!

Sandy – Woohoo on the class this morning! I notice after holding the bar for an hour in body pump my hands get super sore. EW on the post office. WTH. That is annoying! Can you call instead of going there? If you get that job you’ll have to let me know how that is ($$). I may try something like that..I like the idea of not seeing people LOL. A large rental sounds awesome! Not sure I would want to be right in resort town anyway..lots of hustle and bustle. Is there a beach nearby? I am so excited for youuuuuuu!!! OH the loops! So I do my neighborhood twice one way. As in I run each cul-de-sac two times and that equals about 6.5. Then I go to this other neighborhood (ours cuts through) and WAS doing 1 mile loops. I was too scared to explore..but I decided to this morning and it worked out well! Plus I got to see all the Christmas decorations. I only go to the other neighborhood for the longer ones. If I do my neighborhood once to and from the house, it is about 7. Since I run that basically everyday, I throw in the other neighborhood to switch things up a bit. I hope that makes sense. LOL.

This weekend…we have a romantic date tomorrow! We are going out to eat and then to the botanical gardens. They do a huge Christmas display. Real popular around here. HCBF has been before but I haven’t! We will walk around for a while and they have hot cocoa stands and stuff! Should be romantic haha. What are you up to?! Packing?!

Kathryn – Glad the fever has passed but UGH on the sleep!! You need a good nights sleep. Poor thing. Are you taking any cold medicine?

Laura – You are over Christmas?! Man, I really need to organize a Christmas baking party or something. Hahaha. Hope you have a good run! Will you go outside for it? I am still going to cross my fingers on your interview! Tessa had an interesting question..would that mean 5 days instead of 4?

Tessa – Interesting. I did not know that about avocados. I haven’t been eating them lately..I had a few a couple weeks ago and they were slimy and ew. Ruined them for me for a while. If HCBF was around I am sure he would ask him what he wants! Haha. If we see him on Monday he may..but that is the only weekday morning he is home! Lunch and evening run? Whew..you’re basically running all day! Smile LOL at your shoe smelling comment..SAME.

Is it time to go yet?
