Ran my 4 at 1Pm. So eerie to be able to do that without bursting on fire.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

Liz, oh no on poor HCBF! Sprains can be bad. I'm sure he's kicking himself (metaphorically speaking) for doing something like that. Sorry you cannot try out your new TM!
I went ice skating a couple of years ago when a vendor invited us. Loved it. I keep meaning to go and never get around to it.
No water? Ugh. Some places near here lost water for weeks after Northridge. You learn a lot more about your coworkers' personal habits than you would like when you have to watch them trudging across the parking lot to the row of portapotties...and see who stops at the hand washing station afterwards. And who doesn't.
Sandy, good for you on only one glass of wine and no snacking. So far so good for me, though it is only the 5th. DD is a bit uncomfortable since it is now patently obvious how much she drinks...she can't tell herself that I drank a good deal of the bottle of wine. Not saying she has a problem with alcohol, but she admits her pants would fit a lot better if she cut down.
Damaris, good luck at Disney!
Judy, elbow is still sore and bruised but not too bad, thanks for asking. Full moon leads to a lot of things I think.
Kat, the good thing about having your booty handed to you is it's not on you any more. Good luck tomorrow.
Susan, hope you do get the core done later. is DF still burning PTO?
Ginny...there are plenty of surfaces in my house that have not been dusted since well before December 5 and they do NOT have Christmas decorations on them. At least you have an excuse! Ditto, need to take down the crèche tomorrow and put that away along with everything we forgot to put in the boxes earlier. Like the stocking hanging from the fireplace and the tree stand which is still on the lawn.
Cathy, Sierra Trading Post has some good stuff. Hope the on call doesn't mean you actually get called.
Kupcakes, I bet there are a lot of packages that are waiting to go out, if everyone's supposed to stay off the roads that includes UPS and Fed Ex. Hope your tights arrive tomorrow.
Karen, a manatee? Cool! DD's BFF (remember her from Shadow?) would be very envious. She loves manatees.
3.2 this morning, then 6.16 at lunch. Still on the wagon. The weekend will be the real test.
It feels good to be home. I complain, but in general I like DH's family and it was good to see them. We got home around 2:30 this afternoon and I just didn't have the energy to run. Picked up Riley, unpacked and started laundry, then Riley jumped on my lap and wouldn't move for anything. That dog is tired! He finally got up a little bit ago and moved to the couch (spoiled dog that he is) so I could do the next load of laundry and figure out if we have anything at all here to eat for dinner (answer, not really, but since we've been eating so much, I think we're going to make do with frozen dinners especially since I really don't want to go get anything).
Last group run is tomorrow morning. Weather forecast for Houston the following weekend is awesome - 38 at the start, probably only 45 by noon. Kinda wish I was running the full, especially since MS Gulf Coast was short. Oh well, maybe I can beat my November half time.
Tomorrow I will get back into personals. I've been reading, but not responding much. I miss my routine!
Tessa, tons of manatees. They made a park downstream from a power plant where the manatees go to hang out in the warm water (discharge from the power plan), so you can stand there and see them going by, hanging out, etc. Hard to get good pictures. But very cool to see.
Nice cold weather runs, all.
Liz, poor HCBF!
Liz and Sandy, I saw a picture of the Fargo race shirt on fb - it's a hoodie!!!!
Damaris, see above Houston weather forecast. The closer it gets, the better. So if Disney isn't amazing, maybe Houston will be! I am just amazed you are going to have two cold weather marathons in a row. And excited for you.

Heh, this made me LOL.
While the rest of the country goes to hell in a hand basket weather-wise, we are having completely normal, unsurprising, routine weather. Drizzly, upper 50s... BORING! Rest day for me today, 22k trail race tomorrow. My first race since last summer, yay!
MTA: Found out that I'm #20 on the waitlist for TRT 50, so I think I will probably get in (a friend who was #38 last year got in). Upshot is that I'm going to train like it's happening.
Kat, good luck to you tomorrow!
Damaris, have a great race on Sunday!
Tessa, chuckling at DD's realization that wine consumption correlates to pants fitting.
Karen, the other day I was going to say that it sort of doesn't matter whether there's a Lululemon prize at the end of the Strava challenge. Either way, it was the nudge I needed to push myself a little more. Manatees? Cool. Never seen one.
Lizzie, OH NOOO on HCBF's sprained ankle! Don't tell him this, but I'm mostly sad that you couldn't set up your new treadmill. Great job getting out there with the trax!
Seloc, fleece lined tights?! Does not compute! More coffee is always a good idea (well, until I swap out wine for coffee).
Turtles, I still use a zip-loc baggie for my phone. The snack size is perfect. My DH got me a waterproof case but it's a tad too big for the belt that I wear.
Hi to Kupcakes, Judy, CrazySue, Ginny, and anyone else that I might be forgetting.
