Sometimes I write "drink coffee" on my to-do list, just so I feel like I accomplished something for the day.

    We are almost to Friday!!!

    October 4 - Milwaukee, WI - 26.2

    November 14 - Richmond, VA - 26.2

      Lizzie, good for you.

Wednesday was a doe again, this time twice. Maybe she wants a running buddy? I did 35 minutes running out the trail. I tried doing more shady areas and it helped. It’s so much easier to breathe when it’s cooler and less humid.

      Errands after.

Another run out the trail today. I'd better dash....

      Happy runs, All!

      Where is the "any" key?

        Rest day for me!!

Well, we didn't win the lottery so here I am, in this place again. LOL. Yesterday I went home and took a 2 hour nap..and then slept a good 8 hours. ALMOST called in late so I could sleep longer. Ah yes, this is what happens when I start hitting bigger mileage weeks. Its like you can't get enough sleep!

What a great conversation yesterday about running paces. I loved hearing everyone's opinion!

Laura – Its so weird to see “SRD” for you!!! Are you enjoying not having the streak?? Yes, I am about 2 minutes slower almost 3 some days. Awesome on your kids working now!!

Margaret – Aw, I hope today is a better day!!

Docket – Doesn’t surprise me with those 11:30-12mm. My times are right there! Sometimes I look down and its slower than that! So, yeah, I guess you are right. Running slower based on training does work. Freakin weather and its mind tricks. I also stop my watch when I am outside if I have to go to the bathroom..or if I am switching podcasts.

Run4kupcakes – Nice run yesterday! I like those interval times. I may try that. 20-30 minute gaps? uh....

Okay. I guess I should get to work. By work I mean tackle my to-do list which is drink coffee. Happy Thursday!

Morning!  I have 4 with strides and Pilates.

Liz, enjoy the rest.  I would be a zombie if I had slept all that.  Hoping a new position comes in!

          Judy, enjoy the trail.

            Good Morning!

4.1 for me, I managed to get my butt out of the house a bit earlier today.  Glad today is my Friday, this place is getting nuttier by the day!

Lizzie - I should have taken a nap last night, I was so tired and then stayed up late.  I did sleep pretty good last night so I feel pretty good today.  I deleted the streak app on my phone cause it was depressing me seeing the day I "would" have been at.  I do like not having so much pressure on myself.  Hope your day goes quickly!!

Judy - enjoy the trail run!

Damaris - enjoy the workout later!

Howdy! 2.94 + 2.73 = 5.67 for me today. My watch was whacko so I took my phone.  I stopped for a drink of water at the beach, and then accidentally reset my Strava.  Sad  Oh well.  Done.

DF is moving his DD to USM today.  He's worried his ex will be there to give him a hard time (she's been living at her grandparents garage apt and the witch moved back in with her a few months ago). Hopefully the witch will be at work and he won't have to deal with her. I mean really, he is helping move the kiddo. Surely she can't complain about that.

I took yesterday off to sew. I sewed little lace trim sleeves for a little dress. By hand. Much better than working. I felt so chill by the time I was finished. A friend is going to help me with the next step after lunch, and I have a quilt top in the car I would like to baste. Not very work focused today!

I'm leading a meeting n 20 minutes. Better get my head in the game.

              Have a great day!!

              Seloc

Elina  - sounds like quite the frustrating day yesterday.  Hope today is better!!

Laura – oh yay for SRD!  That’s great everyone has a job this summer.  Keeps ‘em busy anyway, right?  Hooray for some early morning miles.  Helps to handle the nuttiness!

Gatsby – wife of the year helping DH with business advice!  Sorry it interrupted your sleep, however.  Hope you got those miles in last night so you could hop off the grumpy bus – at least for the evening.

Damaris – are you getting excited for Missoula?  I think that would be a fun one.

                HCK – killer workout yesterday!

Lizzie – OMG I’m cracking UP at your to-do list of “drink coffee” hahahaha  Boo on not winning the lottery.  I wanna, too!  Not much.  Just enough so I wouldn’t have to work.  No need to drastically change my lifestyle or anything.  Come ON retirement!  Yeahhhhhh that’ll likely never happen….  Killer sleep for you!  Hey, at least you don’t have to get up at midnight to get a long run in, right?  Good luck with your “to-do” list hahahaha

Sue – LOL on your random miles.  Way to go!  Awwww that dress for DGD sounds sooooo cute.  I can’t wait to see pics!

4mi slowwwwww plus 7mi bike.  80* at 5am  WHEW.  Nothing much going on here though it seems I have quite a pile of work again today.  Makes sense since I seem to now be one person doing the job of 3.  Oh well, hopefully it means the day will go fast.

Oh!  I saw this yesterday and thought I would share.  As we all know, dewpoint makes a HUGE impact on running!!

                  Running with the Turtles

32 minute jog this morning.  Another nice morning.  Not to rub it in or anything.    Nothing else too exciting for me.  My one on one with my manager went well, I got a small raise.  I guess it's better than nothing!

Lizzie, happy rest day.    Well, it sounds like your friend is running way too fast for her long runs.  I was running sub 2 hour half's and my long runs were still way over 10 minute miles, closer to 11 minutes.  She is basically running her half marathon pace for her long run!  I would be surprised if she could sustain that.  Does she know her marathon pace will be slower than her half marathon pace?    According to McMillan, her long run pace should be 9:42-10:58.  I was always at the high end of the McMillan range.  No need to be jealous of her, soon she will be jealous of you.    Why is HCF sending that stuff about Milwaukee to you?    Haha, thanks for the speedy comment.  I feel speedier than I was about a month ago.  At least I can run more than 4 miles easily now.

Damaris, enjoy the workouts!  And that Miami weather.

Laura, I am with Lizzie, really odd to see SRD from you.

Sue, interesting mileage.    Ugh on the ex issues.  Your sewing project sounds cute!  Aww, sorry about your RB!

Sandy, why do you still have that hot weather?    It's weird, we still get up into the high 80's in the afternoons but the mornings and evenings are super nice.  See, you should move here.     I am about at the level of speediness that I was 2 years ago.  But I am not too concerned about it.     It's actually nice not having to do the super long runs this summer.   Did you get a Rice Krispie bar?  I had a recipe for peanut butter rice krispie bars pop up on my FB feed yesterday.  Then I saw some Rice Krispie treats at the Dollar Store.  That is one of DD's favorite places.

                    Kupcakes, nice intervals!

                    Margaret, hang in there!

Karen, great that you had a nice non-sloggy run!  Sounds like you have been busy!   That cryo recovery place sounds interesting.  Haha, I am like you, I don't see much during races.  DH and I did a half marathon together a few years ago, he was recovering from injury so he was just running for fun, he was a full 20+ minutes behind me.  After the race he told me about all the things he saw, none of which I saw.

Ginny, that is an incredible number of push ups!  Even if they are sissy push ups, which are the ones that I do.    Sounds like a tough workout!  It sounds like you and Damaris need to switch locations.

                    Trails

3 miles last night on the TM.  Still taking it easy.

Lizzie, you'd hate my pace  But it gets me through 50ks and I can still walk the next day...lol.

Yesterday outside was awful...felt like breathing soup when I went over to the Casino for lunch.  It's about 100 yards from the office and just walking there sucked.

                      Hi to everyone.

                      Seloc

Cathy - dang you and your nice weather!    Nice run this morning (nope, I can't call it a jog haha).  Hooray for a raise no matter what size.  Nope, I never did go get a Rice Krispie bar yesterday.  Or frozen yogurt.  Or ice cream.  I get lazy and just sit in my cube!!    Funny about the Dollar Store.  I kinda forget about that place but have found some good stuff when I venture in!

Lizzie Lizzie Lizzie - I popped back in mostly to tell you that your long run on Saturday is going to be FAR more pleasant than mine   Yes, I weather stalk everyone.  Well, except Damaris since It's always effing hot in Miami

Miserable run this morning. I guess I was due after a couple good ones. I ended up having to throw in some walk breaks the last few miles. Was totally overheated. I even had to stop and sit down for awhile once (and I did stop my watch for that, sorry not sorry). I struggled through 10....ugh, 10 shouldn't be so hard! It was 85 with a dew point of 77 when I was done, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. But I really need to start cranking out some long runs and it is just so hard to do in the summer.

I should be cleaning but the run wiped me out and I haven't done much of anything since I got home. I really would much rather take a nap.

I think I will take a nap. I'm trying to do personals and I keep scrolling down and then back up and already forgetting what I want to say. Obviously, that means I need a nap! Will try to get back later.

Docket – Ugh, I am a zombie today.

Laura – Nice miles! Lucky you that today is your Friday! Are you doing anything fun this weekend? Completely agree about deleting the app. I would have too, ha. With all the pressure you are dealing with at work right now – no need for extra pressure! Smile

Susan – Oh boy sorry for the technical glitches this morning! Hope DF has a drama free move today.

Sandy – So, what you are saying is that we should all take Summers off of running? LOL. Nice workout this morning! UGGHHH That is HOT!! How are you warmer than we are?! You know what that means though – that weather is coming this way. Next week we are supposed to be awful like that. Ugh, on the busy day. You're right – it will make the day go by faster. OH YES – Saturdays weather is supposed to be really nice. I didn’t want to get excited yet..after last Saturday haha. Hopefully it cools down BEFORE I start Smile How long are you going this weekend? Did you end up making any plans for the weekend? Sigh..the lottery..all I am asking for is a million. That’s it. That’s enough for me to quit my job, pay off everything, and have time to find a job I enjoy. Sigh. Go get some ice cream today. Smile OH and yes, I am soooo happy there isn’t a 2:30am wakeup call in my future. Well, maybe next Friday. I have a hair apt next weekend on Saturday morning.

Cathy – A raise!??! NICE!! Congratulations! Small raises are better than no raises Smile Nice “jog” this morning, too Wink I would think the marathon training team would tell them about pace? Or maybe they do and she can’t slow down. I don’t know. I am sure my summer runs are slower than McMillians recommendations haha. Well, like Sandy said – you were speedy before the injury. I am just happy to see that you are back in the swing of things!! I never notice my surroundings during a race, either!!

Diane – Nice miles last night! I am no one to judge on your pace – I have never done or will attempt a 50K! Smile

Karen – UGGGHHHH sorry about the misrable run! I don’t think you were due for one, I think Mother Nature was just being a bitch. Get some rest!!

Ready to go hoommmeeeee. Today is dragging! Now I have to try and figure out what I want for dinner...may have to stop at the store because I didn't pull anything out of the freezer. Ugh.

                            Have a good afternoon!

Strength training. I went out to water the garden and it feels really nice. Not going to last for long, but at least tomorrow's long-ish run shouldn't suck as much as it could.
