Wednesday I worked out with the cardio DVD once more. The knee needs to heal a little more. I’m being conservative about going back to running on it.

      Insurance work is almost done.

I’m getting started on organizing the packing for the trip. A week away will help the depression a lot. Today I need to do an errand, then do my workout at home.

       Happy runs, All! :::HUGS:::

Judy - Hope the week away does you good!

Did my Forest work out last night...was fun!  I needed it after work....I let the other providers I work with know what was going on with new position....ugh.  Thanks for all the comments on changing position!  I'm excited.

Camille - I thought that was interesting you went from PT to FT before retiring.  that was one of my concerns was working more days.  Hope your travels & your mom are good.

LCruns - I will let you know some good names to see!

Tessa - The job will be with oncologist/urologist specialists....odd combination, huh.

Lisa - Hope Detroit is getting back to normal!  Sent you a FB message about trail run.

          Hi to all that follow!

          Of to work.

Good Morning!   Chilly but refreshing 4.2 morning miles, same route as yesterday - I'm more limited to routes now that the days are shorter and mornings are darker.

Hi Judy - smart thinking in regards to your knee

Marjorie - have a great run

Carol - forest run sounds fun.  Thanks for the info

ran 2.49 miles this morning, fell and broke my wrist!  Just got back from the ER.  I actually fell twice but kept going after first tumble, when i tripped and fell the second time i knew it wasnt good.  but walked home and walked myself to the er.....it is only a block from our house.  i kept hoping it was only sprained, but no such luck.  what r the chances of falling twice in the same run?  sheesh

Ginny---OH NO!!!!  So sorry you fell and broke your wrist!  Hate that for you.

Judy--have a good trip!  Where are you going?

5 miles with Jeffrey and 15 minutes of core afterwards.  My training group has a 30 day core challenge:  20 minutes of core exercises a day on top of regular workouts.  I am failing miserably and have really only done 1.5 workouts in a week.  I just can't seem to cram one more thing into my day!!

                Have a great Thursday!

Run to live; live to run

Ran 11.1. Dew point much lower this am. Nice to not be a soggy mess when I was done.

                  Oh oh no Ginny!!!  Ouch

                  Carol congrats on new position.

Ginny, oh no!!  I'm so sorry about that.

                    hi to every one else!

I'm at my mom's and am tired. I hope to muster enough energy to walk later.  She has doc  appts this a m and tomorrow. At 91, it's always something.

Morning!  Pilates done already and 7 tonight.

We ended up doing the 6 but I ran out of time for the PiYo so I'll make it up today or tomorrow.

Karen, that's why I pay for private classes.  The flow on the regular classes make me think I'll end up with the straps around my neck trying to put them around my feet, etc.

Judy, packing for the trip?  Excited!

Marjorie, nice 11.  I get stung by bees and one time a wasp at the park here.  I was shocked!

                      Carol, nice Forest workout!

                      LC Runs, nice morning run.

Ginny, I am sorry you wrote your wrist!  Hope it recovers soon.

Sue, nice run and core workout.

Camille, hope you get your walk in.

Well, I finally did it. I told my boss we're moving to Houston. She said she's going to keep it to herself for now, but she thinks I should totally be able to telecommute. I'd need to come into DC one week (for 2-3 days) a month. Depending on budget I might have to cover some of the hotel costs myself, but I can stay at her condo three blocks from here if the guest room is available. In fact, she's going to be traveling a lot so I might even have it to myself. She's going to talk to the search committee looking for her replacement and tell them it's important that the new CEO have some experience with certification programs, without telling them yet that the reason is to have someone in the office that can handle issues if they pop up and I'm in Texas. She can't guarantee anything because she's leaving at the end of the year, but she thinks she can sell it. She pointed out that we have precedence with the one guy in NC that telecommutes, although it's not quite the same because he already travels a lot for his job. I'm just glad I can go house hunting with a clear conscience.

Ginny, that sucks! I know that the couple times I've fallen, I feel like I'm off balance for awhile and things feel a little awkward, so I'm not surprised you took another tumble. Pretty badass of you to just walk yourself to the ER!

Damaris, thank you for sharing that. I was behind the other three in the class a lot, they were already doing the next thing and I was still adjusting my springs or straps or whatever needed adjusting at the time. Oh, and we did the airplane!

Lots to do before I leave today. I am taking my computer on vacation and doing a little work though. I don't really have this much vacation time to spare, and I figure we can only look at houses and neighborhoods and stuff for so long each day. Will try to get back on later. I'm supposed to run 12 with 8 at MP tonight, but I have cleaning and packing to do so I may cut it short.

Karen I bet that was tough!  Glad she will try to sell you telecommuting. And exactly why I have always done private lessons versus class. I need the one on one to make sure I'm doing the right from. And, I'd probably end up doing something really terribly wrong or get tangled up in the fuzzys

wasp 0 me 1 million. Yes, 1 million because they scare me and I persevered. Blasted the nest. I found a nozzle attachment that shoots the water pretty strongly so I could be pretty far away. Once I blasted it and killed most I knocked it down and destroyed the larva. Was paper wasps. Very odd to be making a nest in August. There is the one small attachment point I need to get down. But have to wait until the survivors move on. As they return and realize it is gone they are leaving. Dh can roll up the hose. I don't feel like doing that Smile.

Ginny, I am so sorry to hear about your wrist. I hope you are not hurting a lot right now. What a bummer. Marjorie, yay for you with the one million points against the wasps! Karen, good for you for telling your boss about your move. I'll bet that feels good to have that step done. Judy, I am glad you have a chance for a get-away. Hope your time is lovely. Carol, that new position sounds like it will be challenging, and hopefully invigorating! Crazy Sue, 20 minutes of core exercises, on top of training, does sound like a lot to fit in. Camille, glad you made it safely to your mom's place. Hi Demaris! Good job on the run. Decent 7 miles this morning, starting out draggy but then turning out fine. Waves to all! AnnieSusan
