SELOC, I have 3 yahoo emails but only one of them has the problem. Things got lost, one regular newsletter doesn’t come, weird stuff. But the Viagra ads get into the spam folder though.  The other two I use sparingly for specific things.

Ginny, I don’t like the gym track with lots of people either. Right now there are so many weird people who come in to talk, then brag that they have “worked out”. Only the jaw muscles.

Monday I did 50 minutes down on the TM. I’m doing some raising of the speeds gradually.

Today I did 60 minutes on the TM. It’s cold in the exercise room where the machines are and that helps a lot. In the old days, there was a heater that hung from the ceiling. All the elderly used to congregate there and wanted it hot. Did you ever see old film clips of the “reducing machines” that had a really wide belt for the hips and did nothing but jiggle the hips?  They also wanted some of those. The new owner took out the heater. It was a great decision.

    Safe and happy runs, All!

    Where is the "any" key?

Sounds like you need the practice time just to blow off some steam and vent frustration.

Nobody thought to check whether the mall was going to open on January 1st or not? Annoying. Some of our malls do not open but certain stores/restaurants in the mall may open if there is access from outside the mall itself.

Tessa, you asked how we didn't break the Mexican tile below by hammering? That shit is super hard.  I don't think we can ever remove it!

Here is how the package concrete looks like within 5 minutes of me hammering.

Carol, nice TM and Pilates.  Enjoy the hill workout.

Cathy, nice job on the core challenge!

Sandy, enjoy the rest day.  My back is sore, rather than my arms, but I suspect it's more due to the OTF workout than this.

HCK, my husband bought Select Techs 10 years ago and I ended up with them. Having that much range of weights is great!

Ginny, nice job on the TM workout.

Tessa, nice weather (except the heat being trapped).  Yeah, Californians are like Miamians in so many ways.

Elina, ugh, sorry about the work fire/hell.

          Judy, nice TM runs.

Laura – Ugh, you are going to be busy. Hang in there! Nice run this morning! I was even more pressed about buying a treadmill this morning..haha.

Susan – I wanna be at home!

Docket – LOL, 60 and people are wearing coats. LOL. Good luck on the run tonight. And you are right – we are fucked!

Carol – I would be curious how to diet while marathon training too. When I hardcore diet during training I always end up too “deprived”.

Cathy – WOW, congrats to DD!! Is she thinking of skipping a race? I don’t know if I see her doing that J So awesome. How did your foot feel after the race? That is a lot of ab work. Do you have a six pack? LOL. J 14 and warm? Try telling us Virginians that. Haha. Are your other 3 races in January? BRRR.

Sandy – Oh man. Your day did not start off too well. Forgetting something just sets the tone! Blah. I had about 200 emails which is pretty good. How many did you have? That is really CRAPPY about your team!!! I hope the next time they are out you don’t cover for them! Haha, that is spiteful but something I would do. LOL. Hang in there!! When in February is your bday?! I am January – end of January Aquarius. STAY DRY!!! Smile If it helps, I quit drinking really when I met HCBF since he doesn’t – and I didn’t notice any weight dropped. LOL. That doesn’t help your motivation – SORRY. LOL.

Tessa – I like that suggestion for mammal. LOL. HCBF’s niece is allergic to about everything. Seriously. He uses a term for it I can’t remember it. No eggs, butter, bread, certain spices, sugar…a lot of things. His sister does a great job of creating things that she can have that are actually really good. She made a special cake once..that wasn’t that good. But I am particular when it comes to cakes. You are making WW sound very appealing. Isn’t it real costly? Or no? Your lunch sounds yummy!!

Kilmisters – OMG your day sounds awful. SO sorry. Get out some aggression in practice!

Ginny – WOOHOOO on the treadmill run!!!!

Judy – I can’t image a heater hung from the ceiling in a gym! TOO WARM!

Only a little over an hour to go and I am off to the gym.

Poor Ruger is going to be a ball of energy when I get home..and I have 0. LOL. I am going to try daycare for him tomorrow! Hopefully if I layer him up he won't be too cold Smile

            Have a great night!

Damaris, I see what you mean. That tile looks indestructible. How are your shoulders and neck feeling?

Sandy, I do find that giving up alcohol helps me to lose -- though it works better when I also cut out or greatly reduce my sugar intake.

Liz, that sounds like an unusual combination of food sensitivities/allergies. Almost like paleo but most people doing paleo aren't in danger of death if they go off the eating plan. It's possible to make good food with many different combinations of ingredients -- there's a woman on runango who is gluten-free vegan for health and cultural reasons and she makes her food sound very good -- but sometimes it's that you make food that is good but it is not cake. Cake requires certain ingredients and if you can't use any of them (wheat, egg, butter, sugar) then I have a hard time referring to the foodstuff as cake. (Please note there are many cakes that don't have at least one of these ingredients. Angel food cake has no butter. Almond cake can easily have no flour. But without any of those four it is difficult to think of the food as cake.)

WW is $44.95 a month, however my doctor told me I had to do something to get my blood sugar down so I am now paying for WW out of the HSA. I can justify that. It's a lot cheaper because there aren't any meals that you have to buy like with Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig or one of the other prepackaged meal services.

And 6.1 on the TM for me at lunch, a series of 6 repeats of 2 minutes easy, 8 minutes a bit more intense. So long sustained intervals at medium exertion rather than very short harder bursts.

Tessa -how do you change your profile to use the activity points?   Thanks for the explanation on the activity points.  There used to be a message board for WW, is that still around?

Lizzie -DH and I just did online sign up, was very reasonable.  I like that you can track your points on your phone.  There is a barcode scanner, so if you are out shopping, or just using something at home it automatically gives you the points and will track it.  I’m shocked how many points is some things now!!!

5 windy, cold miles, but beautiful sun, and had a great run!

7 miles today. Not bad weather, around 50, but super windy. Getting a lot of reading done. Now they are all watching some incredibly stupid movie about cavemen that don't speak, so they're all trying to figure out what's going on and they are driving me crazy. Dumb movie, made even worse by the commentary in the living room. I am getting a headache. Is it Friday and time to go home yet?

3 miles on the treadmill. I couldn't bring myself to do them outside, even the Strava Lululemon challenge wasn't enough motivation.

Oh, thanks for mentioning the Strava thing!  Forgot it started today.

Seloc, yes, good sleuthing re my birthday!  If I recall correctly, you also have a big birthday this year, like me?  Can’t remember exactly which beach we were on in ZIH.  I want to say it was south, but not certain.

Oops, gotta get off the train soon. BBL

MTA: I had to bring my DH to the airport tonight.  And now I'm home and I need dinner.  So, no run and no more personals.  Starting off the new year by setting very low expectations for my contributions here!

It was raining and I had to do grocery shopping so I ran out of time for my 6.  Switched with tomorrow so I ran 5 with hubby.  Better, since tomorrow it should be 60F at 5pm so nice for my MP run.

Tessa, the back is a bit sore but not sure if it was the run/row at OTF, the hammering, or the combination.  Ha.

                        Carol, nice 5.

Karen, nice 7.  Hoping the movie didn't make you go nuts.

                        HCK, nice run!

Margaret, at least get something yummy for dinner and wine.
