WOOT WOOT Friday! (DAILIES) (Read 21 times)

Cathy, thanks!  If I take my distance and time on the TM and calculate pace it's about right whereas the Garmin has me much slower and I know that's not right.  My last outdoor run was the PH and because of my back issue I'm sure my pace was way slower than normal.

Damaris, I'm considering giving my Garmin to my DD since she wants to start training.  Which TomTom do you have?  Glad you had fun at the concert. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

I think mine is the Spark 1 and they are now on the 3. I have a 3 on my Prime cart to order at some point.

I would read about the TomToms a bit since they are different and don't have all the bells and whistles. For example, they don't have the run/walk alarms (unless newest version do).

Damaris - glad you had fun at Lady Gaga!  Super happy that Bugsy seems to be doing better, too.  Oh, yeah, I meant to comment the other day - 5!!!!! kit kats!!  That cracked me up but I also find it totally awesome.  Do they all get along?

      Let me see:

Hershey is the oldest and sort of connects with Trixie since they were together for a while (10 years).  He bites her neck a lot and it ends like the "Rosario de la aurora", a term used in PR to describe a something that ends in a fight.

Trixie hates Rubio, hisses at Sammy sometimes and basically sleeps all day and is fat.

Sammy is the whore of Estepona and can hang out with everybody (saw her walking behind Bugsy last night, so there goes the whore again).  She is the one with the pack smell because she licks and hangs with all.

Rubio the stray is afraid of Trixie who hates him, Hershey and him can be in the same room but don't talk and is Sammy's BF...for now.

Bugsy does not give a fuck and does not talk to anyone.  He eats Hershey's food even before Hershey starts which has caused Hershey to swipe and hiss at him. But Bugsy DNGAF.

        TGIF!

Lizzie, keep breathing.  So, question for you.  What if HCBF says no to kids.  What then?  So you see the monsters in your future.  But you say you only see them with HIM.  Do you end your relationship?  Then there is no chance of kids with HIM - the only one you see them with.  There is also no guarantee you will find someone else worthy of having kids with in the future.  Granted, you are only 30.  But what then?  What if you don't find someone?  Do you not have them at all?  Do you do it on your own through adoption?  As you are waiting on him, I think you need to evaluate you as well beyond the desire and what you are going to do if the answer is no, beyond the devastation you are going to feel.  Do you give up on him in hopes of something as good in your future?  Flip side, do you stay knowing that you almost certainly won't have them?  Will you feel resentment??  I don't envy you with this and wish you all the best.  Good luck finding clarity through this.  XOXO

This.  And you should determine how important this is to you. You can't force someone who does not want kids to have them.  I wouldn't have married anyone that wanted kids, so I am glad I found Richard who is the same or I wouldn't have married (and that would've been fine too).

MTA: and you decide what YOU want to do.  Rather than what you should do or what your SO wants you to do.  Hugs.

It's more like a comedy show, though.

Like the time I was throwing a Gatorade ring for Trixie to fetch (she fetches) and Lily kept running with her towards it because our late Lily had to do everything.  So, here I am in bed throwing the ring towards the door of the bedroom.  There comes stupid (Hershey) walking and I throw the ring his way. The girls, who are tiny compared to 3' long Hershey ran him over and made him flip 3-4 times before everybody stopped because I was laughing so hard, they didn't understand.

                Happy Friday!

I have managed to stay busy on my day off -bottle returns, grocery shopping, laundry, a little cleaning and I ordered a couple of things for Xmas. Oh and I had an awesome massage this morning, it's been a few weeks.   I am going to work on making a few photo books for the grandparents, my DD just showed me how to upload my i cloud photos from my phone to laptop!

4.1 afternoon miles, I parked at my DS school an hour early and then ran around town before picking him up.

Planning on a quiet evening.  Meeting BRF for a run in the morning and then DS has a basketball game.

Lizzie - nice 12.1!! That is really a tough spot regarding kids/no kids.  I don't have any great advice but it is great you are dealing with it head on.  I think you guys will be okay!!  I don't watch Below Deck religiously but I like it.  I am now into Real Estate Wars, I want to be Jo Jo!!

Judy - very busy day yesterday and today sounds much the same, have a great one!!

Diane - Happy Birthday and have a great dinner!!  Your DH sounds like he is stepping up his game!!

Karen - sounds like you needed the rest, probably a good idea with the marathon coming up.  Ohhh, that steam cleaner looks awesome, I will wait for the report once you use it!

Cathy - that is so sweet, enjoy your night out!!

Hi Damaris - glad you had fun last night, I could tell you were enjoying yourself based on your FB and IG pics!!  LOL on the 5 cats, they are crazy (we have 2)!!

Kat - have a great race tomorrow!

Sandy - I am loving this weather!!  Sounds like we have similar work issues, too!!

                Half Crazy K 2.0

It's rough working 5 days after being off for a week. Got off work early because pretty much everyone was at a conference, came home and took a nice nap. Did some upper body strength training & core.  Now to add to the endless parade of repairmen, tomorrow we have the mattress inspector coming between 11-12. Yes, I know this sounds like the plot to a cheesy porno, but that is really what the guy is called. Supposedly if there is an indentation more than 1 inch, it potentially means it is defective. I measured 1 is 1.5 inches. Bed is only 2 years old, so would be really annoyed to need to buy another one.

Lizzie,  I hope you both can work through this.

                  Turtle, enjoy dinner with DH.

Docket, love the cat personality descriptions.

                  Arimathea

                  Tessa

Karen, you can bring that cleaner over to my house any time. Except as I recall you are allergic to cats so you would be miserable at my house.

Jake was a sweetie! Not perhaps the brightest bulb on the circuit, but an amiable dog.

Liz, honestly I think it might be good to spend time with kids in various stages, not just in the cuddly baby stage. Glad HCBF came home, give him some time to think about what he envisions for the future.

Sandy, I take it you had RIFs at work? So did we. I'm OK but we lost a number of people from our office. One guy got laid off for the second time -- he worked for the company for a few years, got RIFd, worked elsewhere, then came back about 2 years ago, now was let go again. I doubt he'll come back again.

Diane, happy birthday! Glad it was a good one. And paces at races depend so much on the terrain...even within a race you can have some segments where you're easily doing 3.5 mph and others where you are scrambling and walking so much and the gradient is so steep that you are lucky to do 2 mph. Also remember that a steep downhill can be even tougher than a steep uphill.

Damaris, love your description of your cats!

Cathy, glad you have a day of your own, Hallmark holidays just are no fun.

6.5 this morning, then went to Lowe's, and we have a good portion of the driveway fixed. Strip between the sidewalk and driveway, which used to be a very cracked brick strip, is now concreted in. Not all that skillful but it is done. DS broke up a lot of the ruptured driveway slabs -- give a 22 year old male a 10 pound sledgehammer and license to smash and watch him tear into the concrete -- and DD chiseled out some of the roots. I mixed and poured ready mix concrete. Tomorrow we will finish patching the driveway.

Definitely December. I had horrible Reynaud's symptoms this morning after the run, to the point where I had to ask DS to drive because I needed to thaw out my hands by sitting on them.
