      6.3 for me!

Another awesome run. Got lost in it again and wanted to do more...but I stopped myself! Smile Despite the foot issues I felt getting out of bed this morning, I felt like my old self out there! Wanted to hit core class today but wouldnt get back home until 9. I have to be out of the house by 9:15. I get ready fast..but not that fast!

I am ending the week at 45mpw. Right where I wanted to be. I am hoping to be back into the 50's next week. I miss being able to eat more. LOL. Or maybe that is why I am feeling flabby.

Going to get my hair did today. WOOT WOOT. Ready to be lighter again. Heading to lunch with my parents after that since I will be in their neck of the woods. Hoping HCBF decides to come with. Last weekend we didn't spend much time together because I was working..there is a gun store across the street from my hair place - so I am sure he would keep himself busy.

Docket - Sorry about how the case went today. You need lots of happy hour this weekend Smile I hope you get to keep the big case! WOW! TOTALLY GET the feeling like shit on cutback weeks..SAME!!! I thought it was just me Smile

Run4kupcakes - nice 9 yesterday!! What is next on your race calendar? YES they did hire new people..but they just fired them again this week. I don’t understand his company at all. I am not sure why he stays. Are you getting snow tonight?

Lisa - I am crazy. My anxiety takes over and I just want to get the run done. Plus…I like being out there alone. You know, what if I run into a bathroom issue?! No one can see me in the woods that early! Smile Oh wow that stretch sounds hard. Are you running long this weekend?!

Karen - Thought of you this morning. Hope you are having a great time! I know you must be enjoying that weather Smile

Diane - GOOD LUCK TODAY!!! You are going to do so great. OH BTW tennis ball under foot for PF - LIFE. SAVER.

      Happy Saturday!

Morning!  Glad I slept in, except Trixie woke me up by putting her face in mine and sneezing.  I have OTF and 4 miles.  Since I'm 2 miles behind this week, I might do the OTF ones as extra.

Liz, nice run. The case ended well.  Some issues are unwinnable anyway, and I know my judge and he is very realistic but at the same time considers what our position is before ruling against us.  He continued the hearing which is a win, since now DC can tell me what they want to do which will be fight until you die, ha. They say, I do.

HCK, good luck on the race!

Morning!  5mi earlier.  Sooooo happy the snow missed me!  Thank you wind from the east!  About 100 miles west of the cities some areas got close to a foot.  A bit chilly and breezy out there but I don't care since the roads are still dry!  Now just doing a bit of laundry and chores.  Should run some errands, too.  I REALLY wish basketball was on this afternoon instead of this evening.  A friend wants to set me up with some dude she's been shagging but I don't really want to.  That's weird.  May just lay low.

Lisa - wow, that's cool you could use the yoga relaxation techniques with your mom.  Man, I could have never done that!  Funny, I had that conversation about tight hips with a running buddy yesterday!  And, I always joke that my forward fold and halfway bend look exactly the same haha

HCK - always impressed with your Friday evening mileage cuz that is the tiredest time of the week!

Damaris - so is it congrats on the hearing?  All the legal stuff confuses me.  And you have some BIG stuff - whoa that's a LOT of $$  Hope you were able to relax and get some good sleep last night after such a stressful week!!  Edit: that sounds like a WIN to me yesterday - NICE JOB!!  I had to laugh at Trixie sneezing in your face - silly kit kats.  Good luck with OTF and the miles today!

Lizzie - lol on no spaghetti last night.  Oooh both burgers and salmon sound good.  I had Subway.  The sub of the month for $4.99 haha  We had the same temps yesterday for long run.  I swear the gloves I was wearing made my hands extra cold.  Especially carrying a water bottle.  Similar temps this morning and my hands were fine though no water bottle.  Shooting for 20mi on Friday - trying to decide where to run it.  Your day today sounds perfect to me!  Have a great lunch with your parents.

Karen - snowing in Seattle?  In March?  Crazy weather.  Hope you are having a great time in Portland!  Can't wait to hear about it.  Silly DH - almost like having a child LOL

Kat - very weird work thing.  I guess since it's a public place they can just walk in and chat?  AWESOME you have a friend coming to visit!  Okay, but when and what are you doing in Canada?  A race?  Indian Festival sounds fun!  I've only had paella once - while in Miami Damaris.  It was good!  Not a lot of seafood here in the Midwest.  Awww glad you are much more content in SA.  I was always impressed with your move but sure sounds like it was a good one!

Cathy - good luck to you and DD tomorrow!  I was thinking of you and Laura thinking I can thank you guys for blowing the wind my way to keep the snow away!  I am ECSTATIC we did not get any.  Now it just needs to warm up!  A 14 miler in August sounds hot LOL

Diane - good luck today and have fun!!!  Can't wait to read about it!!

            Happy weekend!!

            WINE o'clock somewhere!

Yawn...  Had a nice sleep in, again.  Ahhh.

Lizzie, you have been rocking out the runs.  So impressive.  Hope the hair turns out cute, as it always does.  Hey, Fargo isn't too far away!!  Who is going?  You, Sandy, and Karen??

              Hi HCK!

Damaris, funny about Trixie, not funny about your poor face.  Ah, the joys of our pets.  Enjoy your day, hope some fun things beyond running/OTF.

Sandy, nice run!  Set you up with the dude she is shagging.  I think laying low is a good idea, that is WEIRD.  Canada (Hudson Bay - Churchill) is in late October - POLAR BEARS!!

Diane, I hope you are kicking butt out there now!

Karen, weather in PDX looks fair.  Have fun!!

Lisa, glad you are enjoying yoga so much again.  I tried it a few times, but get confused with the poses and get frustrated.  Relaxing though overall.

Lovely morning here right now  69 but overcast.  Need to get out for a run in a few once the coffee settles and I get a bagel in my tummy.  Somewhere between 2 and 20.  Hah, that is funny.  20.  We ALL know that aint happening.

Thinking of cleaning the garage.  Need low cost things currently, someone overspent this pay period.  Oops. My mother made me the warmest winter mitts when I was a teenager and I must find them for her for Canada.  (It is only March and she wants them already, mostly to see if she likes them, I think...)  I know they are SOMEWHERE in there, the question is where...  Ugh.  Need to go buy some stand alone shelving to organize, it is a mess.  Sugar, and taxes soon...

Have a great one.  Good luck runners!!

Seloc, unless shagging has a different meaning in the midwest, that is weird. Back in college, I had high school friends who went to a different school than me. They wound up being friends with a college friend's HS friend. They were VERY into marriage, like after 1 date, "is he the one". And this was in MD, you may have heard of the school, they were very recently a media darling in the NCAA tournament. Anyway, they tried to set up my college friend with one of their friends. She was told "he's a good kisser, everyone on our floor says so".

                    Happy Saturday!

3.1 for me, waited until 11 am to go because it is cold and breezy here - the sun is shining though, so it really wasn't bad.  The BF and I are going to spend the night at a casino/resort for his birthday yesterday, we're leaving later this afternoon.  Should be a fun 24 hour trip!

Lizzie - nice run,as usual!  Have a nice day and hope you like the hair do!!

                    Hi Kupcakes!

Damaris - LOL on trixie sneezing!

Sandy - glad you did not get any snow!  I have a feeling we will get hit at least one more time but I am hoping not, I am so OVER IT!!

Kat - our garage needs a good cleaning too.  BF has so much stuff, ahhhh - tools, etc, his side is a disaster!

                      Hi Ladies!

My hair is SO. BLONDE. I wasn't expecting it to be this blonde!! I did say heavy highlight but usually it takes a couple visits to get it this light. Phew. Just a change - but it looks good!

HCBF ended up coming with Smile Lunch with my parents was good. Always good to see them and my mom gave us a bag of Easter candy. They are getting ready to leave for Amsterdam. They are spending a week there and then heading to Marbella, Spain. They have a week timeshare there at the Marriott. My brother and I have been once and we loved it. I am mad they didn't invite us. LOL. Anyway...I need to see them more. I am noticing each time I see my dad, he is looking older and "slower" (he is 84). I never noticed him really slowing down or even looking old until about 3 years ago.  Sigh. Hard to watch.

We are going to cook some burgers tonight. YUM. Laying low and catching up on some shows Smile

Run4kupcakes - Oh, Atlantic City in April shouldn’t be too bad. My SIL ran one there..I wonder if it was that one. Have you done it before? OMG on the shagging story. Reminds me of SWINGING. You know the older I get the more I hear about swingers. You know to each their own…but my brother tells me that if you live in Leesburg and have red mulch and white rocks - you are a swinger.

Docket - YAY for sleeping in!! You deserved it Smile How am I not surprised that you are the kind of person who “fights until they die”. Smile I knew that based on your badass running!! I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend.

Sandy - WOOHOO for the snow missing you! Its missing us, too Smile Nice job on that 5! Doesn’t it feel good to have that pesky long run out of the way? Its like you can really enjoy and relax. One of the main reasons I am a crazy person on Friday’s. 20 next Friday? How many 20’s do you plan on this training cycle? Okay, wait. Some dude she’s been shagging!? Shagging in my world means = sleeping with. Uhm, I hope that is not the case because that would be really weird. Can I just say - You are just so awesome and I am so surprised you haven’t been scooped up yet. Guys don’t know what they are missing Wink What sub was it? Do you guys have Wich Wich? Its a sub place. THE. BEST. They have this avocado spread that is to die for.Interesting about the gloves - No water bottle here but I was holding a flashlight that is stainless steel. HMM I bet that was the culprit just like your water!

Kathryn - Yes, me, Sandy and Karen. I am SOOOOO EXCITED. I am excited to see Fargo, too. I like running in different places. I will feel that cool weather in May and want to move there. Hope you had a good run today. Cleaning out the garage does NOT sound like fun. Ew. I got a notice today that the neighborhood is doing a yard sale in April. I think HCBF and I should take advantage of that.

Laura - Awe, have a great time with BF!! That should be really fun

                      Have a good night!

                      October 4 - Milwaukee, WI - 26.2

                      November 14 - Richmond, VA - 26.2

                      March 21 - Virginia Beach, VA - 26.2

PW on the 10K this morning.  At 2.5 miles I was so winded and light headed I pretty much walked the rest of the race. Idk what happened.  Just awful.

One of my running friends took a class on trigger point rolling with the grid roller, so she taught a group of us tonight. Wow, I had no idea what you could do with that thing!  Now I am absolutely exhausted.

My Garmin connect account is not communicating with my Strava account again. ;(  Ideas??

21 trail miles with one of my DWD team ladies who is doing a 50k end of April. We got done and she confessed to having not run more than 12 miles previously. People. LOL Showered and headed out to meet up with Susan (runningprof) for 3.6 more trail miles by her. Then dinner out where I ate a ginormous burger (50% beef, 50% chorizo, avocado, goat cheese, sirrachi mayo.... YUM!!!) with a cucumber/feta side salad... and a hard to get beer... Founder's CBS (Canadian Bourbon Stout) that's their stout aged in bourbon barrels which had aged maple syrup in them so it has a bit of a sweet caramel flavor added to it. Double Yum!

                          Lizzie-Nice miles!

HCK2.0-I'd be worried running a race on April Fool's day. Just saying...

Damaris-Awesome way to be awakened. LOL

Sandy-standing folds are okay but the seated folds. LOL I barely come forward.

                          kathryn-hope you find your mitts!!

                          Lisa

                          Arimathea

                          Tessa

Um, yeah, shagging = screwing in my vocabulary too. And thanks but no thanks on the hand-me-down (well, in this case it sounds like more than a hand is involved, but I'm not sure how to phrase that without going way beyond bawdy and into just plain vulgar).

Lisa, 24 something this morning? Wow. You definitely earned that beer.

Kat, hope the financial crisis blows over.

Kupcakes, are they running the April Fool's run on the 15th because of Easter being April Fool's Day this year?

3 this morning with a friend, 3 more this afternoon. I definitely run better in the mornings!

Long day. Portland is rainy, but the running is nice. Day full of meeting talking about marketing, newsletters, websites, running form, training plans and schedules, etc., then I ran 7 miles. I did not sleep well last night so did not do the group run that met at 6 am, but I think I ran pretty much the same route they did later, plus a few extra miles. I'm going to try to get a long run in tomorrow afternoon. We get done at 11:30, then I want to walk over to Powell's Books and try to get lunch at Portland City Grill, and maybe check out the Saturday Market a little, then get in a decent run.

I've actually had fun extroverting this weekend. Friday night was hard - happy hour/social/meet and greet, which I always find awkward, but ended up being okay. Then today I sat next to the guy from the Boston group and we had lots of fun. He was hilarious and seemed to think I was too. Then at dinner I ended up at a really fun table talking marathons and running with people from Portland, Shreveport, northeast Ohio and Denver, then ended up talking to a guy from south of Houston that is running Boston and is in my corral. Several went to the bar after, I called it a night.

"shagging" ... Maybe translation more along the lines though of "getting" so like "getting some"

Karen-yeah for fun extroverting! Have fun today too!

Tessa-LOL on the time of day affecting runs.  Afternoon runs just feel harder. Unless of course they are a continuation of morning runs.  Hmmm. take that back. Usually if I started running in the morning and am still running in the afternoon..it feels hard. LOL

Diane-looking forward to hearing about the experience and the people you met along the way. This one will make the next one that much sweeter.
