This run was actually not that well thought out. I wore my old shoes (don't know why) and got a blister. I picked a route that, while cool, had 13 relatively flat miles followed by 19 miles of angry hills and ran out of steam. I started out a bit aggressively for the route and ended up walking the last 2-ish miles.
I am not, however, discouraged by this result. I still fought through some serious discomfort for a long time and this course is a lot more aggressive than I anticipate the race will be. I also don't think that I finished a run over 20 miles before my marathon and I have definitely done much better than back then.
