Notes
5 mile road race FTW.
Really felt great to be racing again. There was a combined 10 mile/5 mile race consisting of 2 5 mile loops. Turned out I had some company with the top 10 mile runner. There were 3 of us tightly together through 2 miles and then only 2 of us through 3. I got dropped shortly after the 3 mile marker but maintained the gap at about 20 meters through the end.
Was hoping for sub-28 but the effort of racing is still foreign to me obviously, so for a first race back this is pretty good. To top it off, my calf gave me no trouble!
mcmillan says this converts to 1:00:07 for 10 miles, so I still have soem work to do to run 58:12 at broadstreet.
