Pat Heenan 5k - BIG oof
Indoor 5k @ NCC. Big race and fairly stacked field between our top guys and the U of Chicago guys. Just never felt smooth at any point. My alley on the inside got out fairly slow the first lap so then it was a bit of a fartlek to catch up and that didnt help me feel smooth at all. Soon I was in last and just yo-yoing with the back of the pack. I picked up a couple stragglers but never found my rhythm and also started to tighten up as well (left calf in particular). Got a side stitch with about 1200 to go which further ruined my focus. Started getting lapped after hitting a quarter to go and was surprised to see our guys had passed Cutter so went out wide and kinda coasted it in after that. Definitely a rust buster and one I wont dwell on long
